Parent: Hotchkiss made a very generous financial aid offer that make selecting it a no brainer - so don't let the sticker price dissuade you from applying! Our "lower-mid" (10th grade) child has had a fantastic experience in her first few months, despite the Covid lockdowns. Of course the resources are fantastic, but what has especially impressed us as parents is the personal attention for our child from each of her teachers and deans. Go Bearcats!...Read 81 Reviews

Parent: Our son went to a great public high school for freshman and sophomore year and is an honor student. He always wanted to go to prep school and he is an avid hockey and lacrosse player. He is now in his first year at Salisbury and is repeating his sophomore year. He cannot be happier with his decision and obviously that makes us as parents extremely happy. Coincidentally, we could not have picked a better time due to Covid. He is actually going to classes and having a real high school experience as opposed to if he had still been home at his former High School being subject to almost 100% online classes and no competitive sports. Overall Salisbury gets five stars for all the work they put in to make our sons experience in high school educationally, athletically, and as a gentleman, something that will no doubt have him continue to achieve high standards when he goes to college and throughout his entire life...Read 77 Reviews

Parent: I'm the parent of two Millbrook students, and we are strongly considering the school for our third child. Why? Because each child is "known and needed" at Millbrook. They work enormously hard to understand who your child is, what makes them tick and what will help them become the best version of themselves. I have two very different kids who both found success at this school. While there are many areas of excellence at the school (gorgeous campus, thoughtful curriculum, wide variety of sports and arts options, terrific attention to college prep, warm community), I have to cite the superb faculty and school leadership. I can honestly say that they are inspiring, nurturing, responsive and determined to help my sons succeed. Simply put, my sons became better people by being around the world class human beings at Millbrook. My husband and I are so grateful!...Read 53 Reviews

Parent: I love this school because it gets the kids OUT of the classroom frequently. They'll study technology and velocity at a local ski slope, or learn about tapping maple syrup at a nearby agricultural community. Their technology at the school is top notch and you can't beat the teacher-to-student ratio (never more than 1:10). I also love the emphasis on community, responsibility, and personal integrity. It's such a small school that you can truly say that no kid slips through the cracks...Read 4 Reviews

Parent: Veritas has been such a good fit for our family. Coming from a homeschooled background, we were concerned how our child would do there all day. My child looks forward to being at school everyday and especially in his classroom with his teacher. Our son feels totally safe there and had no separation anxiety. Every morning my child excitedly ran to greet the administrators at the door. He loved that he could start his day by racing them to be the first to say hello. He also loves going to memory period. He has grown so much this year. His teacher is bright, loving, fun and very patient. She takes them outside several times a day, gives them snack time and miraculously gets them to nap. It is amazing how much better his reading and social grace has gotten too. ...They have an excellent classical curriculum delivered in love. The teachers are very invested and the small class sizes guarantee personal attention. We also love the other parents. This family community is priceless!...Read 112 Reviews

Parent: My son like all children, was born with a “love of learning”. As Brayan started progressing in the school district, he became bored, complacent, and restless. His “love of learning” quickly deteriorated and began to manifest as behavioral issues that included acting out and apathy toward learning...The solution was simple. We found Wooster, a school that challenged him enough to feed his “love of learning”, acknowledge his individuality, and guide him to “do the right thing”.Our experience at Wooster has been exceptional. The teachers are truly invested in my child’s education and his growth as learner. Adjustments are made as needed to meet the needs of the student. Small class sizes and leveled learning have enabled my children to gain confidence in their learning abilities...Read 80 Reviews
