Senior: Choosing this high school was one of the best decisions of my life! From amazing teachers to peers that support and get along with each other, High Technology High School provided me with the best possible high school experience I could have asked for. The academics are rigorous but manageable, and the clubs provide great opportunities to meet and become friends with others who share your interests. The hour long lunch in the middle of every day is a perfect time to get some extra studying done as well as generally hanging out with friends. I have met so many great people by going to this school, and I believe that I changed for the better having gone here over my home high school. Parent: My son started at Ranney this fall and we couldn’t be happier with our experience. We feel so fortunate that our son has teachers who challenge him, recognize his potential, and help him to be the best version of himself every day. While the academics are incredibly strong, administrators/staff focus on the social-emotional learning as well. Kindness, empathy, and respect are woven into the fabric of the Ranney culture and are actively modeled by administrators and staff. Perhaps the most important gift that Ranney has given our son is happiness. He wakes up every morning excited to go to school. He comes home and excitedly talks about his day, his learnings, and his peers. It is the greatest feeling to know that your child not only feels connected to his school community, but is also valued for who he is within that community. Sophomore: I applied here because I liked the kinship between the students. That's the best part about MAST is the way everyone's really helpful and nice and considerate. It was definitely a culture shock to go from a middle school environment of backstabbing and lies to a place where everyone wants to do good things and be good people. The food is awesome! And it is a lot of homework and can get overwhelming but the teachers are really understanding and engaging and literally, EVERYONE goes to extra help. The NJROTC stuff isn't that bad either. If you end up not liking it, just keep your uniform in good shape, your shoes shiny, and know your inspection facts and basic drill moves and you'll be fine. Marine Bio is the hardest freshman class for most, followed by CAD. Make lots of study guides and flashcards for Marine Bio and download whatever software you use for CAD on your home computer. Alum: I spent four years of my high school life at Rumson Fair Haven Regional, I really remember the good professors that helped me out academic but also personally. Professor Pagano for all 4 years of science course's and Beaver for Graphics 1 & 2 thank you for helping me in more ways than you know. The sport teams at Rumson Fair Haven are exceptional and was on the cheer and dance team. I would like to see more college prep for juniors and seniors preparing them for college and the adult world. Sophomore: I love this school so so so much. I could not be happier attending any other school. I really feel like the community makes it easy to feel heard and respected by my classmates. I love my teachers, classmates, advisors, coaches, etc. I also really like the sports culture. I have not played with girls as respectful, uplifting, and motivated as the girls playing on the sports teams at Trinity Hall. I also feel that I've found a passion for learning upon my admission at this school. Alum: The academics are on par with everything I could have wished for. This school prepared me for my upcoming high-school career and everything after. The teachers genuinely want you to succeed. There is many clubs/sports for the student body, and students often take part in pep rallies and cheering for their peers. Everyone at this school is excited and participates in the school spirit days. Our sports are pretty great and have coaches that guide you to be a better player and teammate. Also, there is fairly big library with ample amounts of books for the students and the librarians actively teach the student body about plagiarism. At this school, parents are involved in the making of class parties, sports, academic achievements and they donate money to insure their kid's academia at Forrestdale allows them to get the best. Senior: When I transferred to Red Bank Catholic early my sophomore year, I had not idea what to expect. The school was far from home, and I didn't know anybody I'd be attending with; I was basically starting fresh. Despite my uncertainty, it became clear very quickly that RBC is the place where I belonged. Coming from a public high school meant a steep reduction in class size, which made the process of getting to know people far less daunting. As a private school, RBC has student come from all over, so a culture of welcoming and accommodation was more than prevalent. The robust athletic programs made finding my place much easier; definitely a school for athletes, joining a team at Red Bank Catholic is a sure way to make friends for life. What is by far the most important aspect however is RBC's stellar education and college preparation. Parent: Sending our daughters to Mater Dei Prep is the best decision we ever made! The faculty & staff are amazing and dedicated. The Guidance Department does a wonderful job helping students prepare for college and navigating the application process flawlessly. MDP's academic program is very strong. They offer Honors and AP courses, as well as, dual enrollment with Rutgers, Seton Hall, and Brookdale. Senior: Coming to this school was honestly the best desicion I could have ever made in my entire life. The teachers here are all so friendly and really want you to strive in order to do your best. They have all prepared me so much in so many ways and thanks so them, I now have a job with a police department lined up for me right when I get out of high school. In the school, we did fun activities like learning how to handcuff, motor vehicle stops, creating search warrants, projects on gangs, and so much more. Everyone who works here created such a great envoriment that I can't be more excited to wake up and go to school everyday. Middle School Student: Oak Hill Fully prepared me for my applications to high school. Also the teachers took time after school to help me prepare for the SSAT. I know a lot of people who move into great schools after leaving. Also my writing skills went up a lot of moving to Oak Hill. Anyway if you have child, you should sent them to Oak Hill. Parent: When public schools went remote for COVID we transferred to Saint Mary School which remained open 5 full days days a week. Our children thrived with small class size and incredible teachers. Having access to the staff and faculty made the transition easier on everyone. Each classroom has a door to the outside which extended the learning possibilities. We are happy with the progress....
