Parent: Both of our kids started at The New School in ninth grade, after eight years of public school. It was one of the best parenting decisions we've ever made. Everything about this school is terrific. The teachers are passionate, inspired, and inspiring. Small, topics-driven, seminar-style classes foster creativity and independent thinking, while the welcoming atmosphere makes everyone feel at home. Our two kids turned out to be very different kinds of learners, but both thrived at The New School. Our youngest graduates next year, and we'll be sad to think of not having that day-to-day connection. Can't say enough about this wonderful school!... Read 26 reviews

Niche User: I had joined this school in my 8th grade year and still attending it even this day or time. I am now a senior and my experiences of being in this school since 8th grade to now 12th grade have been some ups or downs but mostly great overall. The teaching, subjects, and activities are great at this school. Teachers, staff, and peers take awhile to get use to but they are great educators people that like and support students by teaching them new ways of learning certain subjects and can really impact their lives and improve their learning experiences. I am proud of being a fellow warrior in perspectives and would use my experiences at that school as my big advantage to achieve a successful future.... Read 3 reviews

Alum: I attended The Williams School (TWS) in Ghent from second to eighth grade. It is without a doubt the most special and most rewarding educational experience I have had throughout my academic career which, to date, spans an undergraduate degree and a graduate degree. Small class sizes foster deep, long-lasting connections with peers, teachers, and other faculty and stimulate creative learning across the board. Faculty at TWS truly go above and beyond for each student and work tirelessly to make sure each student's individual needs are met. Their dedication builds a level of trust in other and in self that further empowers students to be proactive not only in their education, but also in their personal and social development. TWS provides extracurricular opportunities during a pivotal developmental period that, at larger schools, students may frankly not have the opportunity to fully experience (athletics, forensics, music); students are completely immersed.
