Senior: I came to CK during the pandemic. It obviously was not a traditional experience, however, comparatively, the school's response to the pandemic in ensuring the best possible education was provided to their students was definitely exceptional. With the amazingly breathtaking campus, CK has the facilities and resources like no other high school that students have the full advantage of utilizing. Students had the opportunity to return to campus for in-person learning a lot sooner the other schools due to the spacing available. Alum: I went to country day since I was in 4th grade and am so happy I was there all the way until high school! Junior: During my three years at Troy High School, I have received a lot of rigorous courses, made new friends, and, most importantly, gained new experiences. Middle School Student: This is my second year in Liggett and I have had an amazing time. With all the great people I’ve met. The teachers are really nice. You will always find help when you need it. There are many activities to do outside of school as well. This goes along with sports, robotics, theater/acting and all kinds of other enjoyable events offered here. Lunch is provided each and everyday and the food is great. Learning is not rushed so you can be sure to understand everything that you are taught. There are several different electives to choose from. Also, Liggett includes the whole family. They host events that anybody can join in on. Sometimes there are events to introduce new families. There has been auctions, fundraisers, and fun events hosted by the school to raise money. Either way you should always know that you will have a great time at Liggett. Go Knights!... Senior: I love Mercy! I am currently a Senior in the graduating class of 2022. I can't imagine having made a difference choice 4 years ago. I have great friends, feel extremely supported by the staff and teachers, and enjoy al of the activities and clubs I am in. Mercy creates the schedules so that student's can take whatever classes they choose, and most clubs are student run and created. Students have a huge leadership role within the school, and the sense of community is strong. It is not hard to find your group of people. There are classes for any student, from AP science and math classes to Directing and Acting classes. Students find their place within the school easily. The theatre department is amazing and nearly completely student run. The academic support for students is amazing as well. Junior: Been going here for 5 years now, I started in the academy as a young kid not knowing anybody and felt very intimidated by the huge building I had just set foot into. Within the first 20 minutes at orientation I had met some of my best friends. This school is fantastic but its the luck of the draw when it comes to teachers and how you'll be prepared. Many teachers really care and it shows but some could care less and blow you off. Overall this school offers so much and it has been awesome going into all the co-curriculars as someone new. The athletics is some what under par when it comes to winning but the brotherhood it creates makes us really bond. Freshman: I absolutely love Academy of the Sacred Heart! It is a small community and it offers so many opportunities for students to volunteer in the community. We take annual mission trips across the world that exposes us the many people, cultures and traditions. I love the block schedule of classes. It is preparing me for college. The school offers a great way of how technology is integrated into our curriculum. Our teachers care about our education and they ensure that we get the most out of their classes. They make themselves available to all students. I would love for the school to be exposed to a more diverse student population and I believe that the school is striving towards that goal. Senior: The Shrine community is unlike any other. Since the school is PreK through 12th grade, many of the older students are able to create bonds with the younger children. The facilities are not the greatest, but it is because the school has been around for many years, so the facilities are historical to the school's culture. I believe that what makes Shrine so special is truly the community that supports not only the parish but the schools. Senior: Bethany Christian School has a great environment for kids of all ages. It is a K-12 school, with teachers who care about every student. The staff is very friendly and make every effort to get to know their students and be involved in their student's lives. The music program is amazing. Bethany has several programs of music, and has won several awards. Also, graduates who start college are very prepared. The classes at Bethany are hard, but rewarding.
