Middle School Student: I love ym middle school. It's like all other schools. The teachers are really nice, easy to learn classes, and it's just a lot of fun.

Schalmont High School
#380 Best Public High Schools in New York

Junior: My attendance at Schalmont High school has been at times very invigorating and , but at other times, very frustrating for a young adult going into the adult world. Everything you expect to be a good high school indeed defines Schalmont. However, various aspects create an environment that makes it difficult for students to prosper, such as the sports programs. Some of these extracurricular activities are extremely selective and have rigorous training hours in which the student's school work is not taken into account. Another complication and the most significant one seems to be the level of college information and readiness help that is not being distributed. Going into Junior and Senior year, I wished that I was more prepared and talked to about the complicated tasks I had to endure beforehand. Schalmont is a small public school that possesses acute pride, but it fails to direct students to the best path of success.

Senior: Mohonasen has so much to offer in every department! The Music Program is one of the decorated in the district and has so many classes and clubs you can join. I personally have been apart of the music program for 8 years, and I am so sad to leave! We have a new and innovative Center for Advanced Technology building where there are resources that no school in the area has! Mohon offers great art classes with teachers that care about their students and their work, that goes for the academic teachers as well.
