Parent: Fairmont Prep is an amazing school that combines amazing and first class academics with so many opportunities for students. Where else can you go and take high level math and science courses, participate in ASB, Visual and Performing arts, and yes, amazing sports. In fact, my son is on the basketball team which is division 1 and won CIF two years ago and went to the finals this year. Fairmont Prep is an academic powerhouse, sports powerhouse, and actually an awesome school for all students from average to highly academic. This is the best school for my son, bar none!... Senior: I came from a public school and transferred into St. John Bosco during the sophomore year. The school atmosphere was a breathe of fresh air. Teachers and staff have a true sense of care for the students that I didn't find at my previous school. I wasn't a very religious child, but St. John Bosco didn't treat me worse because of this fact. This is a institution for not only religious children, but children who want to better themselves outside of the classroom. Amazing sports teams and clubs. This school is so innovative with the Engineering, Entrepreneurship, Computer Science, Bio-Medical programs. Many thanks to the teachers and academic counselors for all of their efforts in helping me achieve my goal of attending my dream school! I know that I am prepared for the rigor of college.... Parent: As a parent and staff member at Servite, I have been impressed with the quality of teachers, counselors, staff and coaches. I have 2 sons at Servite, and I can honestly say that Servite is the only place I'd want them to be. The faith formation program is great, and there are plenty of opportunities to find something that fits with your sons interests and personality- whether it is sports, leadership roles, clubs, or service projects. There really is something for everybody. The sense of community and brotherhood is very strong at Servite. Many Servite families are quick to volunteer and bond with each other over various events and activities, and I cherish the friendships I have made there. There are so many ways to get involved, which only enhances your family's Servite experience. Come and check out what Servite has to offer! You won't be disappointed! CREDO!... Read 103 reviews

Parent: We are in our 2nd year at Basis Independent Fremont (BIF). My children are now in 1st grade and 7th grade this year and we love it! The teachers really care about their students and go the extra mile to help them. The administration team works tirelessly and are very attentive and responsive. BIF provides experiences that other schools simply don’t. My children are involved in a wide variety of activities at the school, they are getting a well-rounded experience and is also developing a strong sense of community. The middle school curriculum is above par, compared to other public and private school in the Bay Area. The teachers are top notch and are skilled in delivering their lessons in an engaging manner, without the added pressure of mastering difficult subjects, they make learning fun and useful! We support BIF all the way, and is super excited to see where the school is headed with the opening of high school in 2020 and beyond.... Read 15 reviews

Parent: This is a wonderful public school that feels like a private school. As there is no geographic area that feeds this school, every single person who attends went out of their way to enroll. As a result, the school is filled with highly motivated students and extremely supportive families. In addition, the teachers are amazing! Weaver leans towards STEM education and the parent groups fund many types of technology and instruction beyond what is paid for by the school district. From what I've heard from parents whose children are now in middle school, they transition easily and are well prepared for middle school academics.... Read 1 review

Senior: In the midst of my final semester at Los Alamitos High School, I can say that I have had an overall good experience. Most have my teachers have been skilled and engaging and I have enjoyed the breadth of strong academic options the school provides for its students. Los Al has a plethora of strong sports and several other club sports that allows students to thrive in family-like communities. Unfortunately, racism and discrimination remain prevalent in the school's underbelly, and several students still experience seclusion and loneliness. School lunch is expectedly "meh" and the bathrooms can easily be mistaken with the pits of Tartarus, but I think those flaws are inevitable products of adolescent immaturity. As a whole, however, I have made some of my best friends and memories at the school, in both class and the wrestling room.... Read 903 reviews

Junior: Acaciawood is an amazing school, with teachers who seek to provide the utmost care for each student. This coming school year will be my 6th year at Acaciawood, and I can testify that the curriculum, although difficult, is extremely beneficial. Alum: Loved my experience here because the student-teacher ratio was very small at the time. In turn, I received a lot of specialized, individual help. I never thought I would be a student that could pass let alone get 5's on AP tests but the personalized manner in which I was taught and supervised allowed me to excel. Also with the current state of the world, I don't really have a lot of faith in the public school system, so whenever I have kids I would love to send them to a school like this one.... Alum: Oak did a wonderful job preparing me for high school. The teacher do a great job of not only preparing you for high school level curriculum, but going above the expectation. The teachers and administration are great, you can see the love they have for all of their students. During this COVID19 pandemic they have taken every measure possible to keep our children safe and healthy. I also like the fact that the size of the classes aren’t too big, for both social distancing and academic reasons. I can’t recommend this school enough! Parent: The Hebrew Academy has been serving OC for over 50 years. My whole family attended school here and now my children attend school here. That should tell you something. The teachers are warm and loving. The campus is huge with plenty of room to run around and play. The kinder and preschool programs are top notch and very special. When Covid hit and everyone else was shut down or online, we were open and in person. Our kids were learning and thriving and the teachers were working hard nurturing and teaching because this school puts the students well being FIRST. Over the years, they have developed a social/emotional curriculum which focuses on the whole child and their academics are on par with the best schools in the local district. Parent: What a great school this turned out to be. Also, reasonably priced. I was reluctant to send my daughter to an all girls school, but it turned out to be the right decision. The academics here are rigorous. Very much college prep school. The kids here support each other, not alway the case in high school. It's a mix of income groups, not just upper middle class/wealthy, which I liked. My daughter got into every single college she applied to, including UCLA and Berkley. Her friends from Notre Dame also got into a lot of top tier schools, including Ivy Leagues. Highly recommended!... Read 149 reviews

Parent: Our experience at Fairmont has been exceptional. The teachers, staff, and administration are truly invested in my child’s education and her growth as a young learner. Small class sizes and leveled learning have enabled my child to gain confidence in her learning abilities. Though it is a small and newer school, it allows for a lower student to teacher ratio, giving our kindergartener more confidence when asking questions, engage in group activities, and opportunities for one-on-one time with the teachers. She absolutely LOVES Fairmont! The administration is open minded and think outside the box to make a successful educational experience for the students and parents.
