Parent: Rivermont is an excellent value for an outstanding education for our kids. We have seen how excited they are to learn and are amazed at the things they are doing for their age (Algebra in 2nd grade, Rocket Science in Kindergarten). They love school because of the outstanding teachers that keep them engaged and challenged everyday. We have been so impressed with the excellent communication and proactive, responsible handling of COVID. The close community gives them access to a very diverse group of students from around the world that enhances their educational and social development...Read 56 Reviews

Senior: Assumption High School gave me the best years of my life. The staff was overall very friendly and helpful. The courses were difficult but prepared us for college-level courses. We were required to take multiple college classes before graduating, so we could be a step above other schools; therefore, giving us an advantage. The school created a sense of community and family. The athletics department was excellent, the coaches were so helpful in each sport. Our teams achieve state-level status in almost every sport! Assumption gave me many experiences that I am thankful for...Read 116 Reviews

Senior: I enjoyed going to Quad Cities Christian School for six years. If I needed help in a class I could always get one on one time with a teacher. Everyone knew each other because it is a smaller private school. I met really good friends there. We have chapel every Wednesday and sometimes do fun events during it. I love their Bible class that they have. ... Quad Cities Christian School has an international exchange program. I made many friends all over the world and we still contact each other even though they are back in their country. One problem is that there is not any AP classes. I was hoping I could get college credit, but there was no way I could. I hope in the future they will find a way to have these important classes. Another problem Quad Cities Christian School face is that there is not enough extracurricular courses. Most public school have interesting classes that you can take. Luckily QCCS does have a few of these classes but not enough for everyone’s interests to be met...Read 22 Reviews

Parent: We have just had our last child graduate from Morning Star. I am so thankful that we chose MSA and the sacrifices over the years have been so worth it! The care and concern that the staff has for the students well beyond their time there is amazing. Not only have our children been exposed to an incredible education, but the instructors have also invested in their lives and have shown a great desire to see them grow in the Lord as well as academically. Even when things have not been perfect - the situations have been handled with grace. The extra shifts and jobs to make it work for our children to be at MSA have been well worth it - we would do it all over again in a heartbeat!...Read 22 Reviews

Senior: I transferred to Moline High School for my senior year and they welcomed me with open arms. Right away I got involved in the music department and it was the most welcoming environment I’ve ever entered. It was very respectful and I’m glad I was able to expose myself to people with similar interests as me before the school year actually started. The grading scale isn’t anything too difficult and there’s truly a class for everyone here. The students have difficulty following the Covid-19 guidelines and cases are rising for that reason but other than that, the school isn’t all that bad and I’m glad I decided to make the switch...Read 356 Reviews

Senior: Rock Island High School is a great school. It has many teachers that really care about teaching and helping students. There are many active clubs involved in all sorts of things including robotics, drama, community involvement, and even debate. We have just about every sport that I can think of. Overall, it's a great school. Unfortunately, about every year that I've been a student here I've had at least 3 bad teachers who do all sorts of crazy things. For example, providing an extreme of each learning environment, grading only 3 problems out of a 20+ problem assignment which completely screws up our grade, and literally, not teaching at all, having us learn 100% of the class out of a textbook. Having said this, I've also had multiple teachers that I absolutely love and wish I could have them teach more of my classes...Read 196 Reviews

Parent: We transferred our children to CLS early in the Pandemic from MCPS to receive in-person schooling so we can continue to work. The amount of dedication and selflessness the staff and teachers displayed during this challenging and stressful time was a testament to their pride in their work and love of God. ...The quality in the schooling is good. Cursive, hand writing, language arts and grammar were deficient in the public schools and I was grateful that it is emphasized here. There was a lot of catching up for my kids! Living a life of good character is discussed regularly. ...My older child’s math did not grow much this year but it was because he was in accelerated math and this is not available at the school. I hope this can change. We are keeping both our children in this school this coming year.Read 50 Reviews
