Alum: A wonderful school. The teachers are fantastic and truly care about their students. The school will push you to exceed academically while given support to succeed in the school's rigorous coursework. There's no compromise between rigor and fun: teachers write curriculums that make every day interesting. The students are even better. The hallways are filled with deep conversations on the merits of economic systems to recent discoveries, and the day's news. Every class is small, and you get to know your peers well as you discuss topics in depth. Whether you want to explore software engineering, rock music, or anything in-between, E.A. Young Academy will help you explore your passions and connect you with opportunities. The administration is kind and listens to students and parents. The class selection is wonderful. Overall, Young is a wonderful choice for any student excited by learning.... Read 5 reviews

Freshman: Coram Deo Academy is a wonderful school for kids who want to be challenged. The work is accelerated and at a higher learning status than normal. For example, a student in the Eighth grade may be completing work that Ninth graders in public schools would be doing. The school challenges its students constantly with difficult lessons but the teachers are extremely helpful. There is a lot of responsibility put on the students to do their own work and have integrity in all they do. Coram Deo Academy is a university model school which prepares the students for the future. The school is Christian but Catholic students are also welcome. One thing the school could improve on is diversity of the student body. The school is predominantly white. There are few students of colour in comparison to the overall student body. Conclusively, Coram Deo is an incredible school for those of the Christian faith who want higher learning and teachers who truly want to see their students grow and succeed.... Read 80 reviews

Junior: I have been at Faith for about 10 years, and I have seen the library division shrink into non existence and the football program grow tremendously. I feel that there must be an evening out of academics vs athletics. If a student were to get anything under an 85-90, the school tends to demean them instead of trying to help the student through their struggles. The teachers are great except for the math department. This year alone, 3/4 of the high school math department is leaving. Also, the administration only pays the teachers 80% of what public school teachers get (which in itself is quite low). In a class of 85-90 students, only 3-4 are not Caucasian. Mental health support is not available here, and I dearly wish that we had some sort of a grief or stress counselor on campus. I rate the food poorly because the tuition for a junior is about $17,500 and the lunch food still consists of “mystery meat”. Also, if you have a food allergy, good luck finding anything. Thanks for reading... Read 133 reviews

Parent: Clariden is the best! Our family loves the faculty, leadership, and the program. It is a STEAM focused school going up to 12th. High school is getting a new STEAM building next year which is very exciting. Clariden’s method of project-based learning plus rigorous core courses works so well for our family. The students present their work 5 times a year which builds confidence and life skills. Student voice is respected here and students are expected to be responsible for their words and actions. I can’t say enough about it other than we have the best faculty and they really give the students their all.... Read 15 reviews

Sophomore: I live my High School! The teachers and staff are very supportive and my classmates make my time there enjoyable. I would like to see less bias in the staffing, people who treat others poorly are favored by the teachers and never get punished for their actions. Alum: I attended Bethesda Christian School for eleven years. It held some of the best times of my life and also some of the worst. Elementary school was fantastic...the teachers are phenomenal and I had great friends. Then started middle school. Just like everyone else, there came problems. I was bullied and had a very small friend group (which I didn't mind, I just missed having more friends). Going into high school, my friend group got smaller and the bullying got worse. The teachers/administration also did not seem to care about bullying as much as I wish they would have. Great school overall, just some bumps along the road!... Read 88 reviews

Senior: At Steele, there is a very rich culture and opportunities to build meaningful relationships with peers. Being the smallest school in the district, it allows teachers to focus on the individual needs of the students. There are not many clubs, and the school is highly focused on academic readiness. The school also does not have any sports teams. The school however provides opportunities to take dual credit courses, earn a cosmetology license, and gain a competitive advantage with professional certifications. The school has many activities that enhance the school's culture. The school does not have much ethnic diversity among students. Steele has school-specific events like Super Charge as well. Steele provides a unique high school experience that allows its students to gain a competitive advantage in post-secondary school and in the workforce. Overall, Steele is a school that I am proud to attend and do not regret my decision to apply.... Read 49 reviews

Niche User: I love Tidwell! Principal Barker is a terrific administrator. She listens to parents. She appreciates parental input. She is at almost every event I attend with my daughter. She is very involved and truly cares about he students and school. What I enjoy about Tidwell is that you do not have to be involved in sports to be successful. My daughter is active in theatre, choir and cheer and she is successful at Tidwell. She has been selected to be a part of district initiatives to stop bullying in the district. Parent: As a parent whose three children have all attended and graduated from MLCA, I highly recommend this excellent school! A faith based education was important to us and MLCA's daily chapel sets the tone for a Christ-focused, grace-based, bible-believing worldview. We also appreciate the classical approach to education, and the emphasis on Truth, Goodness and Beauty that permeates the curriculum. Finally, the small class sizes and caring faculty help to create a sense of family at MLCA. My children, who went on to Public high school, still fondly recall their formative years at MLCA.... Freshman: 2021-2022 was my first year as a high schooler and I would say Elizabeth Seton High school made the transition better than I expected! I first learned about the school through a friend's older sibling. I toured the school for the first time. My first impression of the school was great and very welcoming! A few of the then seniors talked to me about the school itself and I almost instantly loved the woman-empowered environment around the school. The idea of an all-girl school at first did not thrill me but now I can definitely say it was a great decision! The school offers many inclusive clubs and sports. I joined the soccer team before the school year began and met amazing people. Even if soccer isn't your thing, they also offer basketball, swimming, and many other sports. It's not all sports based though! There is also a robotics club, book club, equestrian club, BSU, theater and so much more. Seton does a great job of being inclusive and the diversity in the school is amazing!... Read 314 reviews

Parent: Oakcrest has been a wonderful place for my daughter to learn and grow. Since she arrived in 8th grade, she has grown and blossomed into a more Godly, confident and well-learned young lady. Oakcrest is a rarity in this area: an academically rigorous school that also puts a premium on Godly character development. Plus, Oakcrest truly looks to partner with parents in the education of their daughters, and has many events planned to grow and strengthen parents and families throughout the year - a win/win for all of us! The teachers and support staff are amazing, as is the new campus. Everyone connected with this school from top to bottom is amazing! If you are seeking a challenging academic environment for your daughter, where she can make life-long friends, grow in her faith, and have her character formed for THE BETTER - Oakcrest is your place. Our family is forever blessed because of this school!... Read 128 reviews
