Parent: I have 2 children at Morgan Park Academy in the Early Childhood program and we love it! My kids are engaged and challenged academically and are taught about kindness in a world that seems to have forgotten about it. I love that my children could sing and count in French, Spanish, and Mandarin from the age of 3. The teachers truly care about the students and work hard to make it a great learning environment. Morgan Park Academy is a small school but an awesome community.... Read 120 reviews

Senior: Couldn't ask for a better high school experience. Every single teacher I had was extremely patient, enthusiastic, and overall just willing to work with the class. I know I can't speak for everyone, but this was at least my experience. Faith life is also very good, especially having the experience to go on Kairos and to school masses. The introduction to community period really helped me to stay a little more on top of my work, definitely helping with stress levels. Honestly, campus is extremely easy to navigate after a few days and although it isn't top tier facilities, everything gets the job done. I've been able to notice subtle improvements across the whole school throughout the time I've been there, so I know there are always going to be small improvements here and there to keep everything rolling smooth.... Parent: CHA’s Christ-centered culture, and its heart for Christ and for His Kingdom uniquely permeate all aspects of the community! The staff, faculty, administrators are earnestly seeking God and serving Him faithfully – they regard their work at CHA as a ministry that God have called them into, rather than just a daily job. They intentionally model Christ for the students in everything and in various ways. It’s so incredible and a tremendous blessing to have such kind of life-to-life discipleship taking place every day inside and outside of classrooms. Their Christ-like love, kindness, and care have touched and impacted many students and families, ourselves included.... Read 92 reviews

Alum: I really loved how McAuley created a community whose outreach had no bounds. Alum and current students are easily identifiable not just by the uniforms, but rather by the confidence and skills developed at this school. I credit McAuley to my faith in myself and my overall thirst for knowledge and equality. McAuley teaches you that you will never be alone no matter when or where you are as someone will always be there to find and guide you when you’re lost. Besides all of the community based accords, this school has some of the most dedicated and connected teachers who promote learning and fairness in and out of classrooms. Obviously as a liberal arts school they do very well in theater, musical, and art departments with several students and alum receiving awards and acclaim, but many sports programs are up to par as well. Overall this school leaves a lasting legacy that any who are connected to hold forever.... Read 392 reviews

Sophomore: I really liked how big the Marist community is in and outside of the school, it feels like one big family with helpful people surrounding you all the time. The academics are really good, the sports, the clubs, and many other aspects of Marist. What I really like the most about Marist is the teachers. Out of all my years at Marist, I never had a bad teacher. My favorite teacher so far is Ms. Lotito. She was my math teacher my freshman year and I learned so much from her. The Marist community is great, they encourage as much as possible to join a club or sport. If there was anything that I would change it would be for the students to have an open discussion or a poll about certain things. I understand that is what a student council is for, but I think it would be better for the students be able to make certain decisions that would affect them because in reality the council members don’t communicate with the students. It doesn’t have to be big decisions either the little things count.... Read 454 reviews

Alum: Bishop Noll is a small high school so everyone got to know one another and form tighter bonds with more people than a person probably would at a public school. All the teachers and other staff members treated us like we were their own children and genuinely wanted to see us thrive and be the best versions of ourselves. Even though it is a religious high school, it was an open minded atmosphere where everyone was respected despite personal belief or identity. One thing I particularly liked about being at Bishop Noll was how much music and the arts were appreciated. I was a band student in high school and I felt just as appreciated and acknowledged as the athletes. From talking with friends that attended other schools near Bishop Noll, sports were dominant and bands barely received attention. One thing I wish would change based on my experience is the inclusion of more talk about mental health. I feel it’s a very important topic, especially for teenagers.... Read 108 reviews

Alum: Brother Rice gave me the gift of faith. I would not be where I am today without Brother Rice. I graduated from a Catholic grammar school and at that point, you either choose to make choice for your faith in your teen years or you don't. Brother Rice helped me do that. If I had to sum up my experience at Brother Rice it would be this- you will always be trying to do better. The teachers and all the staff want you to help yourself, act manfully in Christ and help others. If you are not helping your community you are not fulfilling your promise to God. There are so many opportunities to better yourself at Brother Rice. There is the Advocacy Group, the school mission, visiting other countries to do charity work, helping in the neighborhood, the Edmund Rice camp for kids who don't have a lot of money, and of course the Kairos retreats. If you don't walk away a better person when you leave in four years than when you came in, you did it wrong, plain and simple.... Read 179 reviews

Alum: During my time at Thornton Township High School, I had many struggles but so many accomplishments. These accomplishments were only possible because of the constant encouragement and belief from my parents, fellow classmates, my teachers and counselors as well. Thornton is a real community of kind people who will stop at nothing to help each student succeed. For example, I was pretty shy and reserved at the beginning of my high school years, but joining my school’s speech team junior year and learning how to be more open and social really helped with my confidence. My peers and coaches on the team pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped me to develop into a more confident person. Parent: My daughter has attended Council Oak since mid year kindergarten (Children’s House). Her anxieties with school vanished. I am a public school teacher, but chose to send her to Montessori school as I understand what quality teaching and learning looks like. Council Oak gives a quality educational experience. She was presented with appropriate work for her level. She was allowed to choose activities that she was interested in as well and being guided through the curriculum. At 8 years old she was explaining the binomial square and solving it! She grew socially and became quite curious about the world. The community is kind and caring like a family. Parental involvement is the best I’ve seen. I’m always amazed with her teachers (guides). When I read her report card, I could not believe how detailed it was. I thought to myself that they know her better than I do! I am thankful and grateful for the COMS community.... Read 6 reviews

Parent: My daughter has been at this school since pre K (reception). She's now in first grade. We've loved the small community feel of the school. The teachers (mostly from the UK) are kind, experienced and incredible at what they do. The administration brings years of experience and learnings from their chain of schools across the globe. The academics are top notch and at par with some of the best schools globally. We've met a lot of really awesome parents through the community. They also have a variety of after school activities on campus for any special interests your kid has. They're academics focused, but also make sure kids can be kids It's also follows the the IB curriculum, so a great choice for families that might move countries in the future. It's also fairly racially and culturally diverse. Maybe one con is the lack of an outdoor play space, but I know it can be challenge in the city. The gym and indoor playground are great though....
