Senior: Overall, the school system helps the student grow and learn many life skills. It effectively prevents bullying. The wide range of clubs and activities can open students' minds to discovering new career options or interests. They include many STEM fields and interests. Teachers support your passion and lend a helping hand on rough subjects. The lack of bullying is fantastic, yet, the school needs to adjust their homework schedules; it can become overbearing to a few students when they can also be taking AP courses. The food was alright, though it needs to add more options and have fresher ingredients. Adding a variety of fruits and vegetables could be a start.... Read 5 reviews

Senior: When I was younger, school was a source of confidence. I felt like I was good at it and could end the day feeling accomplished. As I got older, that changed. School became frustrating. It began to make me feel badly about myself. This was so discouraging and degrading. I started not wanting to go to school, not wanting to even try. My sophomore year I knew things had to change if I wanted to have a good future and go to a good college. We found Cortona Academy and, honestly, my life changed! Cortona Academy made me feel good about learning again and helped build-up my confidence. They made school less frustrating, making sure I understood something before moving on, making certain I had a strong foundation and could successfully tackle any subject put in my path. Cortona Academy helped bring up my GPA and, most importantly, helped me feel ready for college. I no longer feel discouraged; I no longer feel like I can't. Alum: Veritas School is academically rigorous, which prepares students for college. They stick to the Classical Christian method very well. Students read so many great books and are taught how to write and speak well. The teachers are wonderful. They really care about the students and focus a lot on building good relationships with the students. They have a lot of great options for music and the arts. Students are given the option between choir, strings, and lots of different types of art (things like ceramics and painting). The athletics are pretty good for Veritas being a smaller school. Their XC teams won the DII State Championship. Veritas just got a new soccer field. The campus is beautiful and very well taken care of.... Read 26 reviews
