Senior: My experience at Strake Jesuit College Preparatory has been great! The environment is perfect for any parent that wants their son to evolve into a goal-oriented young man. Strake Jesuit supplies students with all the tools needed to excel, such as: College and personal counselors, free periods and "community time" (An hour long period from 9am-10am everyday in which students can socialize, meet with teachers, go to club or athletic meetings, play sports, study, or more), the perfect balance of freedom and structure, and state of the art conditions. Strake Jesuit's faculty is another upside to the school, as all members are kind hearted, smart individuals who strive to build good teacher-student relationships. Senior: Knowledge-first has been an amazing experience for me. The classes are engaging, and the teachers are phenomenal—they genuinely care about your well-being, and they are always willing to meet with you outside of class or just chat. Parent: Ford Bend area is limited in Christian schools, but FBCA far outshines the rest. We attended the “other” Christian school option that was a K-8 school just down the road. After 5 years we realized the failing academics were not giving us “skills for life” we had to check out FBCA. We couldn’t be happier! If you are looking for great teachers who really care about the kids, FBCA is it. If you are looking for amazing arts, STEM, and athletics, this really is your only option. They cater to the whole child, and build them up. When you are investing in your child’s future, make sure you do your homework. My wife and I are beyond pleased we made the change to FBCA. Parent: This is the first year for our children to attend Logos and we have had a wonderful experience. Honestly, we were not sure what to expect with the homeschool part, but we cannot say enough good things about it. It really makes you realize how much time is wasted at a traditional school with miscellaneous activities and it gives us more time together as a family. The classrooms are a great size so the kids get a lot of attention, and the teachers seem to truly care about the students. Most impressive to us was the high percentage of graduates getting their first-choice of college. Our kids feel very cared for and there is a lot of communication between teachers and parents. Parent: St. John is a wonderful College Prep school. I have two boys there, one of which is a graduating senior! I have watched him through his four years at St. John, and he is completely ready to move on to college in the fall. The block system that St. John uses mimics a real college experience, and prepares their students thoroughly for their next step in life. What more could a parent ask for in a high school for their children? A wonderful relationship with God as well, which he also is able to nurture through their incredible courses of theology, and weekly Mass with the entire student body. Senior: I had a wonderful experience in High School. With a smaller student-to-teacher ratio, teachers were more accessible to answer questions of any kind. Students are responsible for their own education of the Arts, Music, and Sports. That left more time for focusing on academics. The school put tremendous focus on AP and Dual Credit courses. Parent: Ms. Maurer such a wonderful teacher. She’s always putting the kids first at all times. There is no day my daughter has something good to say about her teacher Ms. Maurer. 😊 “My Favorite Teacher because she likes Pink just like Me” is her comment everyday. I love how my daughter can trust her so much and feel safe in her classroom. Ms. Alma 🤭 the best teacher to listen to a kids conversation. My daughter loves the way she tells stories and listens to her ideas and to her fictional stories. She always carries a conversation with my daughter and manages to pretend that she is also in her stories. It could be pirates in the sea, or flying in the sky in a hot air balloon 😁 with Ms. Alma to her side. Junior: Seeing as I have attended this school for the past two years, I have been appreciative of the sense of community the school has established. There is a strong connection between staff, teachers, and students. Teachers are typically readily available with resources to assist students. In terms of diversity, students at Travis come from many different backgrounds. This school has given me the opportunity to understand and educate myself on a variety cultures! Travis also offers a wide range of academic subjects and classes, all at different difficulty levels for students to easily choose which level suits them best. Amongst the various classes, the school allows students to begin clubs and activities with the assistance of a sponsor. Middle School Student: This school is amazing. The teachers involve their students and try to help them improve. The food is amazing and the building is in really good condition. There is a multitude of clubs and activities, and ways to earn high school credit. There is a choir, orchestra, and band as electives. Art 1, 2, and 3 are also options. Alum: When I attended it was K-12. The teachers have a gift, because their ability to connect with each and every child is amazing. I am grateful to have gone to a school where I was motivated and supported through all my different interests. It made the college application process less stressful.
