Over the past few years, there have been significant improvements in our school with the adaptation of block scheduling and moving finals to be before winter break. Miramonte has extremely rigorous academics, though the school has been implementing more support resources for students.

Alum: The environment coming into this high school was very healthy. I was able to form long-lasting relationships with sophomores through seniors, have a more mature environment to properly focus, and was fortunate enough to overcome academic troubles alongside amazingly talented peers. With such a small class of bright adolescents, you're adjusted to the rigor and ethic of those around you. Eye-pleasing campus, kind-hearted staff, and mind-boggling education. Middle College High School is definitely worth its four years.

Senior: Salesian College Preparatory is a great private institution for kids who are passionate about their academics. The teachers are really caring and want the students to succeed. This is one of the few institutions where teachers really work with the students to make sure they achieve their academic potential. The campus is constantly being renovated, food is alright, and the school really prepares kids for college. Tones of great resources!

Senior: The best part of El Cerrito High School is that making friends was easy. There are so many people here that share my interests and academic level. I have also found it easy to trust my teachers with my personal life and struggles that may be going on. If I were to change one thing, it'd would be class availability . Sometimes I find it hard to get into the classes I need to take to challenge myself. I would also change the school spirit. We tend not to be very excited about rallies, school fundraisers, and other events. I wish people wanted to participate in our school's community more.

Alum: Good school, I had a good experience here. The administration was helpful and the teachers were pretty good. This elementary school is one of the best in the area. School lunch is terrible but not the school's fault since it is the district's food. Kids are driven to learn creatively and teachers have control over the classrooms.

Parent: My son starting attending in his sophomore year because he was having health issues and was missing too much school and falling behind at his regular high school. Vista's one on one program was great for him. He thrived at Vista and was even able to do concurrent classes at the local community college. He enjoyed his supervising teacher who was the same for all three years. He graduated ahead of schedule and was just accepted to UC Berkeley!

Senior: My overall experience at De Anza high school has been good because the school provides a safe and comfortable place where students can learn, grow, and discover new ideas. The school has experienced and professional teachers and counselors who assist and support students with all the help they need. One thing I wish that the school can improve on is their school lunch, In my opinion, they serve little food to the students during lunch most of the time it's not enough to sustain the students throughout the day.

Alum: My experience as a student at making waves academy was pretty good. There were several aspects of the school that contributed to those positive feelings. Firstly, I like that Making Waves was a small school that allowed teachers to help students effectively. The teachers and administration were very involved with there students which made it comfortable for people to approach teachers when we needed help and assistance. Secondly, the fact that parent meetings happen pretty often was good because parents are able to be up to date with school events and activities. Overall I enjoyed my years at Making Waves Academy.

Sophomore: I like how good the education is at this school. Students have many opportunities at my school and can takes academies that they want to specialize in here in our school. The three academies they can take here in my school our engineering, health and law and justice. Not only that my school music department is amazing and anyone can take piano or band or even choir. Students here are very free and this school helps unleash their hidden potential inside them. Here in pinole valley, our sports teams are all about teamwork and improvement that helps us grow as a person. Not to mentions our hardworking staff and teachers work very hard for the students and always do their best for us.

Parent: We couldn't be happier anywhere else. Olinda gives my family a complete diet of family, friends, and education. The teachers truly love their jobs and students. The PTA is very strong. You cannot walk on campus without someone greeting you. The diversity is to be celebrated. Academics, Academics, Academics💓. The children are always having fun while learning. There's always a fun project or activity right around the corner. The walls are covered in the proof. The principle is amazing. She takes excellent care of her students, staff, and families.

Parent: Mira vista was my school growing up and my siblings and cousins school, so being in my neighborhood made it feel like a safe place to be. Now my kids attend that school and it is a good school with amazing teachers. The one thing I didn’t like was the addition of middle school classes to the elementary school.

Junior: I cant find the most eloquent word to describe my experience at Cal Prep. My mom says highschool are the best four years of your life, I cant say they were the best but they were the most educational years. At Cal prep I experienced my transition from childhood to adulthood, I've learned how it is possible to communicate through art, and how every object in a state of motion will remain at rest unless an external force acts upon it thanks to the Newton law. One of the most important thing my teachers have taught me is leadership, I've learned how to guide others and being able to engaged with children and teens to work together and create a safety eviroment inside and outside campus. I found my second family at Cal Prep, even though it's a small school you create a lot of memories becuase of the positive enrgy you find in every person there.

Works Here: Valley View works to grow independent, responsible, and respectful young people. Our community is like a family. While we work on academics and increasing student engagement, we also work on social emotional growth. We teach students how to manage various issues, disagreements, frustration and so forth. There is more to life than grades. While academics are important, so are the arts and climate.

Parent: I have one alum and two middle schools sons at Lowell. The younger two started in Kindergarten and the oldest in third after attending our local public elementary school. Although my sons are completely different, Lowell has managed to understand and bring out the best in each of them. My oldest, the quiet introvert at public school, was completely brought out of his shell and is now a confident 10th grader. Lowell taught him self advocacy. My younger two have been encouraged to use their over abundance of self-confidence to boost other children up. Thanks to Lowell, they are empathetic leaders. Lowell has helped me parent my boys to be their best selves -- confident yet kind, thoughtful and public-spirited. All of that PLUS a leading edge curriculum that allows them to easily attend the top public and independent high schools in the city!

Junior: Prince George County schools are very good overall. They make all the students feel like family and the schools throughout the county. This county makes all the sports feel connected somehow and the students always know people very closely to the other sport team members. I would love all the schools to feel this way no matter what because there is a true connection between all the students. Everyone at the schools are always involved with clubs, activities, and sports.
