Senior: Lakeland Christian is more than just a school; it's a community of Christ-followers who push each other toward excellence each and every day. I feel loved and seen as an individual when I am at school, and I know that all of my teachers care about my well-being outside of the classroom as well. Lakeland Christian Academy has set me up for success in the future both spiritually and academically...Read 8 Reviews

Senior: Whitko raises kids to high academic standards and the teachers here do anything and everything to help his/her students achieve. The clubs are good but I wish there are more. The students at this school all follow a similar structure. Now that Whitko high school has changed into Whitko junior-senior high things can get a little crowded; however, with the new building project for the future I have high hopes...Read 105 Reviews

Junior: Columbia City High School is split into two buildings with one being the traditional high school and the other being a project-based learning school known as Eagle Tech Academy. At ETA they have three main pillars of character that form our culture; Trust, Respect, and Responsibility. The staff and students are expected to uphold these ideals and use them every day inside and outside the classroom. We have 20 min every day that can be used for multiple things that are called Advisory. Most Advisories are dedicated to special learning days while every Wednesday is dedicated to games that each Advisory classroom participates in. These games are created by each Advisory's student leaders and the entire school sits in the gym to watch members of their respective Advisory classrooms. It's a great way for the whole school to get together as a community and it forms bonds between the teachers and the students. ETA is about community, culture, and preparing students for the real world...Read 207 Reviews

Senior: What I like about Shawe Memorial is the family-like atmosphere. everyone knows everyone, the classes are small and each person respects there peers. The athletics are good and the marching band is the best in the state of not they are really close to being the best. What I would like to see change is the choices of classes. I would like a trade class to come to Shawe because, in my opinion, everyone should know how to change a tire or how to check your oil. Overall Shawe is a great family and great community for anyone, they accept everyone and they love everyone...Read 14 Reviews

Parent: The curriculum is thoughtful, encourages critical thinking and think outside the box. While the school has a strong focus in math and science, my child is getting a well rounded education with classes in Language Arts, History, Community, etc., electives in art, foreign languages and history of food as well as after school fun like drama, sports and animal lovers clubs! ...The daily updates are informative detailing by class what my child did that day and I like the sneak peak on what the higher grade levels are learning/reading/doing.The teachers encourage the students to advocate for themselves but they are always on hand to help!My child has developed strong friendships with kids at various grade levels which shows that there is a common comradery and closeness in this community. The best review I can give comes from my child who says that Ideaventions Academy "is the best school ever!" and we wholeheartedly agree.Read 7 Reviews
