Freshman: For the most part it’s good, it allows the serious students like myself to move forward faster and allows for flexibility. The student body is different than you would find in a regular public school, RPA is very accepting of all types of people, and kids that might get teased or bullied at a normal public school find a welcoming environment at RPA, with that being said I am in the minority since I am more stereotypical looking and acting teen which makes it sometimes hard to connect with some of my classmates. Alum: Trinity guided students in a manner which was very effective in preparing them for college. However, Trinity being a small school meant few resources such as AP classes or sports teams, counselors or outside knowledge of the world. The religious aspect of the school creates a very tight knit community, which can be a great thing if you are Lutheran and also attend the church or participate in school activities such as the musical, choir, or sports, however it can be detrimental at times if your faith doesn't align with the Lutheran beliefs.... Alum: I really enjoyed Ridgeview's dedication to helping students. Anytime I had a question or needed extra help, a teacher was more than willing to aide me in whatever way possible, including private lessons after school and during lunch breaks. The only thing I'd like to see change at Ridgeview would be their attitude towards bullying. While the staff was excellent at providing educational assistance, I witnessed multiple instances of students complaining about harassment from other students and the majority of them were turned away or written off as not being a serious matter.... Senior: I have had a pretty good experience at RHS. Most of the staff/teachers are awesome and the classes are typically pretty fun. The school does lack in a few ways. The most concerning of which is the lack of after-high school prep. The requirement for the senior portfolio are minimal and not very useful and there aren’t that many AP courses. On the plus side, the majority of the staff are pretty wonderful! My Spanish, Math, and History teachers truly cared about me and even the ones I don’t have anymore still know me and talk to me. The relationship between students and staff are always pretty amazing. One math teacher in particular had such a wonderful teaching style that I realized I actually like math. Now I’m going into college next year for an engineering discipline! Overall I’d say that the school is still pretty great and treats it’s students pretty well.... Read 140 reviews

Parent: My son is about to enter into his 4th year at DSM. My daughter is entering her 2nd year. We love this school. The teachers are wonderful. They really put in the time and effort to get to know the kids and build on their strengths while helping overcome weaknesses. The fact that the children are in the same classrooms from 1st through 3rd grade really helps them feels comfortable in their class. You can tell the administration has a heart for education. Parent: Although we are fairly new to Bend and to the St. Francis of Assisi School and Parish, my husband and I couldn’t be more satisfied with our decision to enroll our son into first grade in this wonderful community. My child is taught by loving, dedicated and qualified teachers and administrators who are genuinely interested in the well-being and education of our son. St. Francis offers its students a well rounded curriculum including the arts, music, and language. Through their field trips, students are able to have real world, hands on experiences. We find that in addition to its spiritual and academic teachings, it also constantly reinforces the life-long values that we teach our kids at home - taking pride in your work, integrity, and the importance of good character.
