Success, for us, means collaboration between peers to initiate academic and community achievement. We have some of the best athletes, artists, and academics all in the same place, so the competition for participation is intense. We're all destined for advanced careers and higher education, but those without significant teacher relationships or sense of purpose can fall by the wayside. In the day-to-day, interacting with peers and teachers is very fulfilling. As a local artist and honors student, my teachers are more like mentors who encourage me to be proactive with my education and creative practice.
