Alum: I enjoyed my four years at Pomfret. It is a small school where everyone knows each other and looks out for one another. Teachers are welcoming, but have very high expectations (lots of homework and a high-level of interaction in-class and after-hours at study hall). The campus and buildings are beautiful, but the area is quite rural - I wish there had been more opportunities to get outside and explore the natural areas on the large campus. Students tend to focus their time on sports, studying, and relaxing in the dorms or outside on the quad in nice weather. I felt prepared for the academics of college, but also felt severe culture shock going from small Pomfret to a large university. I miss the hilltop and look forward to seeing friends there at future reunions!... Read 85 reviews

Junior: I love going here so incredibly much! The community is absolutely fantastic and the array of classes offered is incredibly wide. From business to engineering, whatever your interest may be you will find classes to take on it here. I also love that students can start whatever club they want to, no matter what age they are. Sports are fantastic, anyone can do whatever sport they want, for example, although I had never played field hockey in my life I was able to pick it up freshman year, and now it is one of my favorite sports. The food is fantastic, SAGE does an incredible job of providing healthy food for the students with many options. The school has worked hard to bring in speakers to talk to the students about many different topics, some notable speeches being the Narraganset Bay, Organ Donation, and MLK. A favorite thing to do at school is LEAP week, and basketball games. If you are looking for a high school this is it! I am so grateful to be a part of the Mprep community <3... Read 111 reviews

Sophomore: I am currently a sophomore at PSA and I couldn’t have asked for a better high school experience. Living away from home was something I thought would be very challenging for me but the staff and students have acted like a second family to me. Academically, this school is unlike any other high school with small class sizes and a challenging curriculum.... Read 26 reviews

Alum: As a former student of Rise Hybrid Private Academy, I highly recommend to anyone debating to enroll! Not only did this Academy enable me to excel both in and out of the classroom, but the students/teacher became family. Students receive an unparalleled education while still having fun! I will forever cherish my memories of AP Biology dissection labs, the field trip to Washington DC, even one on one math (which wasn’t my strong suit🤣yet it is still a major memory, proving the impact of this school and teacher!), Secret Santa during the holidays, and many more. Through this Academy, I established a foundation in advanced education as well as life skills such as communication, time management/efficiency, and work ethic. I would not be the person I am today had I not enrolled in Rise Hybrid Private Academy!... Read 10 reviews

Junior: In the many options that were offered to the young adults at the end of 8th grade, The Woodstock Academy has been everything I anticipated. The schooling in STEM fields is above average in the fact that they allow you to take as many STEM related classes as you wish while diverting those credits to fill other mandatory high school requirements. This shifting of credits allowed me to take more science and math classes than I imagined I could. Sports was also incredible during the years that I played. There is two campuses with courts of all kinds and an athletic center in between both campuses designed to support many different sports. This complex has two baseball fields, a smaller soccer field, a football field, and a track for track related sports. The tennis courts on the complex are currently in renovation. Now that I am a junior, I am happy to say that I don’t regret selecting my high school from the options I had and that anyone who is thinking of going here definitely should.... Read 217 reviews

Alum: Middle school is never easy for any kid and I was no exception to that. The teachers here helped me through my tough times in and out of the classroom. Sports at Woodstock were always so well coached and planned, I won 4 championships for the boys' soccer team but I also was part of the advanced chorus program there as well and on top of that I was in Band all four years as well this school gives you a lot of opportunity to be you.... Parent: As parents, we are pleased and happy that our daughter spent her four years of high school at Mercy. She grew, learned, and made beautiful connections within a caring community. The school provided her with a solid academic curriculum, competitive sports program, a variety of clubs, and a strong sense of social responsibility through the school’s participation in community service activities. Her preparation and involvement helped her being accepted into multiple college programs with the opportunity to continue her participation in sports and diverse scholastic activities. We appreciate all the support from its teachers, staff, and coaches. We highly recommend Mercy High School!... Read 216 reviews
