Parent: The teachers, assistant and administrators at LCS are second to none! They care about each and every student and go above and beyond to ensure each one has an opportunity to thrive academically. Each of my children are so grateful for the loving, Christian environment where they are able to hear about Jesus every day. Excellent student to teacher ratio. School has moved to Brighton across from Brighton High School and is now very centrally located. I love that, thanks to the help of LCS, my oldest will graduate this year with a semester of college completed - free of charge! My children love playing sports at LCS, including cross country, soccer, volleyball and basketball. Coaches are top-notch in each sport. Livingston Christian Schools is a total blessing!... Parent: My daughter started at KWoods about five years ago. We were , at first, concerned that the small school wouldn't have enough challenges and opportunities for her, but we were wrong. The teachers and varieties of experiences might have actually been more than a large school because everything was within her reach. At a large school she probably wouldn't have tried all the sports she tried, or been on leadership. She maintained her high grades, did well on her SATs, learned a ton about music and has had an all-around great experience with far less drama and no drugs or drinking. Great staff!... Senior: Howell has a lot of great opportunities for students. There are programs for students interested in everything from health occupations to welding. Howell offers a wide variety of classes that range to all interests. Howell also has a lot of opportunities for students to get college credits. Students can participate in early college programs, dual enrollment, and Advanced Placement classes. Howell also has lots of extracurricular activities that are offered to students. Other than competitive sports, there's countless clubs students can participate in. The administration has always shown care and compassion for students and willingness to help out. Senior: Caring teachers. Great flexible academic options. I did most of my classes online through a partnership with Michigan Virtual which allowed me to travel internationally while completing my classroom so I had many opportunities to learn about other cultures and do applied learning outside of the classroom. It also allowed me to play multiple sports at the high school (volleyball, track, and soccer) and to engage with the student body (come to school for lunch with friends) and generally feel part of the student body while studying mostly at home and abroad virtually.... Senior: I have been going to CSPA since my freshman year, and I love it! The teachers are very nice, and the classes are very challenging and fun! I have made some of the greatest friends at CSPA, ad I have learned to be more confident in myself and my capabilities. The school has high expectations academically and socially. Students are expected to be respectful of their peers and teachers and to do their best in class. I have thrived in the environment at CSPA and I think many more will too! The school also has great extracurricular programs! The robotics people are super cool and do a lot of fun things! There are lots of sports programs, but I have never gotten into sports or robotics programs. I have, however, participated in the art program exponentially. The art program is great! Junior: Stockbridge is the most outstanding rural school that one can imagine. The teachers are so incredibly understanding, caring, and kind. Throughout my time at Stockbridge, I have developed relationships with my teachers that I hope lasts a lifetime, and I have met some of my closest friends at school. The school is an excellent balance of academic rigor and extracurricular fun with countless opportunities for one to succeed for being such a small school. Many people who have come from larger schools to Stockbridge enjoy the interconnectedness that is demonstrated each day in our building. Alum: FlexTech lets you explore your creative side. This school has no tests, only projects. Most of the projects have minimal requirements and are open ended for the student to be creative with. The students are very welcoming. FlexTech gives you a free laptop to carry on you and to take home throughout the school year. They are very flexible on the days and hours of when you can choose your classes so if you have a job or activity you do outside of school, they'll usually work right around it! Parent: I am so grateful for this school. When my oldest son was finishing up kindergarten in another state, his teacher's one recommendation was to put him in a smaller school. Well, we found the right school in Ann Arbor Christian school. He made instant friends. He receives a lot of encouragement from teachers and peers. I am sometimes incredulous at the welcoming and positive environment, especially in places I don't expect it such as the middle school students being so genuinely friendly with our children. We were looking for a school that would give our children continuity between home and school and we found it. The Bible teaching we engage in at home is supported at school.
