#208 Best Public High Schools in Illinois
- Central A&M Community Unit School District No. 21, IL
- Rating 3.51 out of 5 41 reviews
Alum: The teachers care about the students. The culture is very good. The small size means opportunities are limited, but the administration does what they can to help that. No sir conditioning outside of the library so it gets pretty toasty in the warmer months.

Meridian High School
- Meridian Community Unit School District No. 15, IL
- Rating 3.46 out of 5 26 reviews
Alum: As an alumni of Meridian, I believe that I was provided the best education possible by a small school. Small schools will rarely be diverse and will rarely have the opportunities that larger schools can provide - and that is not a reason to dock the school. It has been 20 years since I was last in HS and I can tell you that the opportunities that are available at Meridian now are far above and beyond what was available then. Give it a chance - it is small, safe and the teachers care about their students. If you don't feel as if you teacher cares, then perhaps it is up to you, the student, to find out what you can do to change that attitude. Your experiences are what you make of them!

Taylorville Senior High School
- Taylorville Community Unit School District No. 3, IL
- Rating 2.94 out of 5 90 reviews
Senior: It was a good school overall, very friendly staff members and great program in general. I would like to see some things change such as more availability for the students that takes longer for them to do their school work do to family issues or things like that.
