Alum: Dominican was the perfect high school for me. Dominican lives out the Sinsinawa Dominican values of preaching, community, partnership, and justice, instilling these values in the students who attend. A Catholic culture is ever-present, although the student body is about 60% Catholic. In my experience at Dominican, I was able to have friends from diverse backgrounds and experiences which was really enriching and unique for most schools in the Milwaukee area--reflecting the demographic of the part of the city they live in. Going to Dominican High School is the best decision I have made for myself thus far. They have set me up for success in college by helping me every step of the way, whether I needed them to walk me through things step-by-step or needed to work alone. There are staff members I feel comfortable going to for answering questions and some even for asking for life advice. I have formed friendships here that I know I will have for the rest of my life. Senior: Grafton High School is a wonderful and welcoming to all. The recent referendum improved the cafeteria, athletic gym situation, weight room, and classrooms. It made the school feel more modern and comfortable. The teachers at this school improves students and prepares them for their future. The athletics have greatly improved over the years, making game day atmospheres phenomenal and a can't miss event. Overall, Grafton High School is a great school in a great community.... Junior: While I've been at Port Washington High School, I have seen many things that make our school pleasant as well as many things that need to be improved upon. Our academics, extracurriculars, and parent involvement are very good, and our food is excellent. The lunches are more than enough to give students a full meal, and the ingredients used are of genuine quality. The school also has a great music and arts program, with many sponsors and tons of opportunities for choir and band students. With all these great things, however, come some issues that need to be focused on. The diversity of Port High is poor, due to its location being in a small, close-minded town. And while there is representation for those who are of different ethnicities and those who are members of the LGBTQ+ Community, the special needs students remain underrepresented and misunderstood.
