Alum: Randomly writing this review 5 years after graduating from here, but I am so thankful to have been privileged enough to have attended a school like Neuqua Valley. I was lucky enough to not have any bad experiences during my time here, but that does not mean they do not happen to others of course. For the most part, teachers and other staff members truly wanted students to succeed and they genuinely prepare you for college/adulthood through leading you in the right direction but also instilling a “figure it out yourself” mindset because that is how life is for most of us once you leave high school. There is truly an activity, sport, club, etc. for everyone in my opinion which made it easier to get to know some of your classmates given there are so many that you would not meet if they were not in your classes. Parent: NCA has been utterly transformative in the lives of our children. Three of our children are NCA graduates and two more are on their ways. This is a place where our children have been loved, nurtured, guided, and also challenged. They have been immersed in great literature and have engaged in hundreds of hours of thoughtful discussion, wrestling with ideas that have shaped and influenced them in profound ways. In a culture that is increasingly at odds with our Judeo-Christian beliefs, our children have learned how to discern Truth from error and then winsomely and humbly defend it. Alum: Crone Middle School does an excellent job of preparing students to conquer the rigorous courses of high school. I only attended Crone during my 7th and 8th grade, but those years cultivated my love for excelling in academics. I came from a different middle school in the IPSD School District, and I am glad to say Crone is my personal favorite. This middle school has great accelerated programs and also a fantastic music program. I highly recommend for students to get involved in chorus, orchestra, or band. The sports teams here set up student-athletes to succeed in high school. I've never felt unsafe in the halls of Crone, and I've had some dedicated and inspiring teachers. Freshman: Although I am a rising freshman in the Class of 2027, my experiences with the school have been expanded beyond attendance of Honors Geometry every morning as an 8th grader in the double honors program. Although my experiences with Oswego East High School stop at the attendance of one year-long class, my experiences with the school still go beyond. For example, spending time with students of the school and attendance of their school events such as color fest and international fest, have made me expectant of my upcoming high school experience. Throughout my (so far) short-lived time at the school, I would still like to value the experiences and memories the school has already given me. Although the school may not have the same resources such as an orchestra program or a debate team like our neighboring schools, the school never fails to provide quality learning opportunities with well-versed faculty and peers alike.... Senior: It has been a great experience for me. I grew as a person and a student as the years go by. I have made friends that i can consider close brothers to me. The lacrosse team at JCA was a brotherhood to me because we were always there for each other no matter win or lose. The band and drama club were the best thing to happen to me because I became close to everyone there. The Kairos experience is once and a lifetime opportunity and i grew more as a person over there. The education here is great because the teachers make the lessons easy to learn and are helpful if you ask questions. it is a great community to be a part of, so i highly reccomend attending.... Alum: The best parts of my experience were my moments in choir and the music program. The teachers were always so attentive and caring of their students while also being assertive. Most teachers weren’t as attentive or considerate of the fact that students are also humans too. They sometimes treat students as robots whose only job is to study and do their excessive assignments when we all have our own troubled lives at home or interpersonal relationships. Few of my teachers took the time and effort to build relations with their students to allow for everyone to feel safe and seen in their classrooms. Sometimes it took being the one to reach out to a teacher that allowed for a common ground to be reached where you could talk during class and ask for help without feeling threatened. Middle School Student: HG is the nicest and greatest school of all it highly gets you ready for high school if an eighth grade eighth grade if seventh grade and seventh grade if in sixth grade everyone at the school are very nice and funny you make friends in all grades if you want because everyone there are all full kindness and funniness you can enjoy HG because everyone is family and you can feel like home.... Senior: Plainfield Central High School provides education to students in a more understandable way. I personally like the extra-curricular activities the most. I have participated in HOSA state competition through their Wilco program and I am happy to be a State Finalist. I was able to discover things about me that I never thought I could do.
