Parent: Excellent district on the whole. Very well-rounded academics and teaches on a higher level than most schools in terms of what the kids come out of it knowing/understanding. I’m an alumni, teacher and parent within the district with kids in multiple schools, having worked in all buildings. The clubs/activities/sports are top-notch and the class options for electives at the high school level are insane and provide a ton of opportunities and guidance for the kids. They can come out of high school being qualified for a ton of different jobs, and with a solid basis for college-necessary jobs. It truly is impressive. I think the high school itself is too big and could use to be split into two, but the facilities are extremely impressive and better than most colleges. The younger grades focus a lot on mental well-being as well. My only complaint is how hard they push a liberal agenda instead of presenting all sides and letting the kids decide their own morals/ethics.... Read 546 reviews

Alum: I went there for Elementary school years ago, and I very much enjoyed my time. The school was clean and new, children were cared for, and in general, I was very happy. I had a few issues with faculty members, however, I'm certain that if I had spoken up about them at the time, they could have been solved. Niche User: I attended this school my junior year of high school. I was accepted with open arms. I would recommend anyone to attend if you have a chance. I only had a hard time getting there each morning cause I drove myself 45 minutes to get there in the morning and come home after school. This school helped me become a better person and improve my life spiritually. The teachers here are amazing and care about all the students. The administration is really good and well managed. It is very small but so worth it. If I lived closer I would have attended my senior year too and previous years of my high school life. It is located in a good location and is safe for students. This school is a lot like a family and I am still connected to it and stay in touch with many of my friends that still attend. Niche User: Saint Joe's is truly a remarkable institution in the State College area. The school community has done a commendable job at navigating the COVID-19 pandemic while maintaining a high level of academic standards and student engagement -- a tough task in these times! The area has a number of adequate schools - but Saint Joe's is obviously something exceptional - academic rigor, leadership development, incredible opportunity to grow and participate. Students who otherwise may have done "alright" in another school or worse, gotten lost in the shuffle, EXCEL at Saint Joe's. Parents and students will grow in faith, fellowship, and service as part of the Saint Joe's community.The pillars are not just advertised - they are LIVED at Saint Joe's. Parent: My kids never complain about going to school, and rarely complain about their schoolwork. They've learned to use multimedia technology in ways they'll use throughout their lives. They have opportunities to explore topics of interest to them and to choose interesting and varied specials courses. CLC provides a socially supportive atmosphere in which teachers know the students well and students from all grades interact. Senior: I have been going to this school since I was in pre-school. As I have grown older and have now become a senior I have noticed some things about my school; the elementary programs are stronger than that of the high school, teachers are very easy to interact with and they try to help as much as they can, while it is kind of them they do tend to make things too easy, favoritism is played quite often, we have little to know recourses/facilities to do things, everyone knows everyone very well, and you feel personally known. Overall I love my school even through all the little things I am frustrated with.
