Parent: Palm Valley is a wonderful school! I am a graduate and now my son attends, with my daughter joining next year. From personal experience I know the academics and college preparation are unparalleled in the Coachella Valley. When I started college I was more than prepared to excel my freshman year. The small school atmosphere requires you to foster relationships with a diverse group of classmates that you may not otherwise. I still speak to and see my classmates regularly and see them as family. As children our families bonded, we attended each others milestones (like graduations from undergraduate, graduate and medical school) and now we are still a part of each others lives as we have started our own families. Junior: My experience at Xavier had been overall amazing. i’m going to be a junior next year and i can’t wait for what xavier will bring for me. All the teacher are nice and friendly and the staff is just beyond amazing and the counselors as well! They renovated the pass couple of years and the school is looking great. They had recent just added a track and it looks amazing. The staff and members of xavier are continuing to make renovations to xavier by adding a new floor plan of a whole another building classifying for new rooms for new teacher and past teachers.... Senior: Palm Springs High School is a great school full of educators and staff who want to help every student succeed in any and every way possible. They go out of their way to find any opportunities, through school visits from professionals, educators and mentors, for students of different backgrounds and situations and are there for you anytime you ask. This school is very accepting and willing to learn about our current generation and are generally involved in school events pertaining our interests. The school listens to our complaints and constantly looks for ways to fix them. Students and parents are very connected through social media, family nights and zoom conferences that allows parents to know as much information as possible. Alum: There is so much to say about Desert Christian Academy because of the relationships, academics, and athletics they not only provide but conquer in. Freshman: This is one of the best schools I have ever attended! The teachers are so welcoming and they LOVE their jobs. I had enrolled in 7th grade during this pandemic (2020-2021) and I excelled. Our teachers were always an email away. The kids were so nice! Cielo Vista guided me through the process of skipping a grade. My teachers were so supportive. I am sad to leave because I was never in person to meet my teachers and friends. I can't say much about the academics because of the pandemic and it was really easy for me but for your child it might be just right. Though, if you are in 7th grade Honors, you will be doing a lot of reading, and writing combined with video production. Encourage your child to do Spanish 1 and 2 so you don't need to take it in highschool! The 7th grade science teacher was so involved with my science fair and with her help, I made it to Broadcom. Junior: This school is definitely worth it. The school has some of the best academies like DATA and HEAL and is also an IB school. The teachers here are absolutely amazing and always take time to get to know their students. Class sizes especially for honors, AP, and IB classes are reasonable and with me being an IB diploma student it felt like family. This school is also know for their amazing performing arts programs. We have award-winning programs like band, choir, and ballet folklorico and we also have a vibrant art program. The students here are extremely friendly and accepting. We have students from many different backgrounds yet we all have a very strong bond with each other. There is plenty of clubs and sports! And there is always something to do every week. The only issues I honestly had with this school was administration failing to listen to their staff and students on issues like dress-code and school policies.However, we the students are working to change that!... Alum: From my Freshman year of High School there wasn't that much at Banning High School. There was a lot of student involvement, but besides that I didn't think there were that many options. With my Sophomore and Junior year virtual there's not that much to say about that, but the school was getting a lot ready for our Senior year and for the future of Banning High School. They expanded the campus with the release of the Performing Arts Center and made renovations with the parking lots and the campus itself. Although I was able to experience a little bit of that over my Senior year, graduating June 2, 2022 at 6:30 PM, I would gladly say that I'm proud of being an alumni of Banning High School. There's a great future for the school, its diverse community, and the future students as well. Being an athlete, club organizer, and one of the 'faces of the Class of 2022,' the competitive yet close climate is what makes everyone reach their own standards of success. Everyone works as one.... Senior: I started in Desert Hot Springs High School in 2018. When I first entered the freshman orientation I was very welcomed with the seniors and staff it was a nicely decorated and well organized. The school offers free meals 4 times within he school day which includes breakfast, snack, lunch, and after school meal. Even with the COVID-19 pandemic they were also giving out meals for families when there was online classes. This provides many help with kids that are not as lucky enough to eat as much as they can during their home. This school does have a lot of clubs and sports that allow kids to interact and have the best high school experience. The teacher are very understanding and supportive they even allow students to eat in inside the classroom to get away from the heat.I have never had a bad experience as this school since the purpose of the high school is to educate and to teach valuable life lesson that can be carried after graduation.... Freshman: My experience with Mt. San Jacinto College is amazing. They assist me with anything I need and are quick to resolve any matters I might have.
