Ottawa Hills High School
#7 Best Public High Schools in Ohio
- Ottawa Hills Local School District, OH
- Rating 3.97 out of 5 61 reviews
Senior: The real draw point of Ottawa Hills is our academics combined with extracurricular offerings: there is no other school with as engaged teachers and resources for you to do as well as you can. That being said, the environment seems to be driven by the parents who put their kids here. Sometimes, parents beliefs for what an education needs to be sometimes overshadow what kids really need: balance and self-care in the midst of a stressful environment. If you are going to send your kid here, make sure not to a) pressure them TOO hard to succeed, b) promote good self-care practices and c) encourage them to have a positive attitude. That’s all you need to really succeed here.

Sylvania Southview High School
#43 Best Public High Schools in Ohio
- Sylvania City School District, OH
- Rating 3.75 out of 5 186 reviews
Senior: Throughout my 4 years of high school, Southview has treated me very well. I have made many great friendships and developed special bonds with my teachers that I will cherish forever. southview has been like a home to me. It makes me beyond happy to see how amazing it has become over the years. I absolutely love all the events we host such as the most popular Dance for a Chance. We raise money for a specific cause for 12 hours. There are 4 different teams and you each compete in many activities. The catch is you have to be standing the whole entire time! It is very tiring but it so rewarding to see how much money we raised at the end of the night. You also meet so many people too. There are many other events Southview has that just brings everyone closer together as a community and family. I will never take it for granted.

The teachers and staff prioritize the students above all and it really shows. Go Panthers!
