Parent: I have at various times helped out at Living Word Academy over the years from time to time. My 2 daughters have gone through all of their schooling there up to the present grade levels. I love this school! I thank God that my children can be taught by Holy-Spirit filled teachers that they know even outside of school. I am thankful that emphasis is put on the Bible and chapel just as much as a rigorous academic schedule to prepare them for college. I'd gladly pay any price to send my kids there over again if I had to. It is an investment in their future spiritual well-being as well as their academic success.... Read 22 reviews

Senior: I had so many great experiences at VVS! I absolutely loved all of my teachers. They taught me a series of life lessons that have helped shape me into the person I am today. There are so many opportunities for leadership & extracurriculars. My only complaint, is that the athletics are appreciated, attended, and funded much more than the fine arts; music, art, and the drama club don’t receive enough funding, forcing them to fundraise on their own. However, the teachers in these departments have made my experiences worth while. Even with the struggles listed above, they strive to create a safe and sufficient learning environment. I’ve grown as a person more than I ever thought possible. If I ever had a question about homework, college applications, or anything else in between, I could count on multiple staff members to provide their wisdom. Senior: Oneida High School has a very complicated dynamic. Its academics are average, but there are a plethora of different classes that are available. There's an emphasis on the arts and everyone is very accepting of eachother. Our musical is praised every year as one of the best productions in the area, and our school works hard to support them as well as our physical arts. There is rarely bullying, most people just go about their own day, and the typical "cool kids do sports/aren't smart" social system doesn't exist. Being smart and artistic is valued here. But there is an excessive amount of hallway brawls and a lot of our students are on drugs or come to school high as a kite. There is a meth lab bust about 10 houses down the street every few months and everyone always fails algrebra because both of the two algrebra teachers will answer your questions with exactly what they said the first time. Senior: Holy Cross Academy is a big/little family. Every corner you turn it is just filled with love. Alumni always come back because they love it so much, teachers give their everything to help students achieve their fullest potential, and one never feels left out. The only thing I would like to see change is our dress code, girls wear skits and in the winter can wear dress pants, I feel they should be able to wear them all year round. As much as I understand a dress code is to teach discipline and is very helpful. Pants all year would be nice though.... Read 7 reviews

Parent: St. Patrick's School is a wonderful choice for my children. They offer a STREAM club, drama club, math club, chorus, intramurals, and instrumental lessons for students. The school is safe, fun, and the caring staff makes us feel like we belong to a school family. Their after school care program is convenient and reasonable priced, and is offered until 6 pm M-F.
