Geibel allows students to engage in their community regularly and provides them with a safe environment. Teachers at Geibel go to great lengths to ensure that their students are learning and growing, and the students themselves are extremely supportive and welcoming. Senior: Lost half of my freshman year because of covid, came back to school sophomore year wearing masks, sitting at desks for lunch in school. Went online for awhile so I wouldn’t miss sports. Junior year it was better didn’t have to wear masks anymore, everything slowly went back to normal. Senior year was very good, made hoco court, won hoco queen. Had a good basketball season, made it to the first round of playoffs. Track season was also good, 3x county champs. Went to prom this year and had lots of fun.... Read 195 reviews

Parent: It was a great decision to send my children here. They care about my children and their feelings and their well being. At this school you feel welcome, and the curriculum is very very good, no common core. The faith based atmosphere alongside with wonderful staff and volunteers makes it an environment worth wanting to invest your time and finances in. They have school programs and cute and entertaining plays the students are cast in. They do book fairs and always encourage reading. They have good causes they collect for as well and always encourage the student to do unto others. I highly recommend this school to everybody I speak with. It’s a decision you would not regret.... Senior: Overall New Directions is a fantastic school that has helped many kids. The staff is great with the kids and are trained to keep us all safe. I personally have not only seen improvement in myself but in my other peers as well. However there is some bad things. Mainly being the rules us kids are made to follow. Some of them are great and reasonable but others aren’t. It’s little things though, nothing major. I would still recommend New Directions to others.... Read 1 review
