Parent: My children LOVE this school – from the teachers to the students to the challenging curriculum. Though it is a small school, it allows for a lower student to teacher ratio, giving children more confidence when asking questions, engage in group activities, and opportunities for one-on-one time with the teachers. Senior: After switching from my old elementary school to this school, I found it to be a drastic change. There are different buildings for each category of students (elementary, middle, high) and they're not all that big, however, the intelligence and diversity of this school make up for it! I've made friends of many different cultures and I've never met so many people who are of the same culture as me. I take college classes in addition to my high school classes, and I'm even graduating a year early to get a headstart on college. This school is primarily A student, and 90% of the teachers actually care about their students and prioritize their education. I love my teachers, I could never ask for better ones. Alum: As a graduated student of Windermere High School, I can say my experience was great! The school has quite a lot of events and clubs to attend to, such as dances and festivals. The teachers and faculty members are mostly helpful when assistance is needed and communication is efficient. The environment is overall friendly and welcoming, and people are willing to lend a hand. Junior: CFP is a family environment. A place where everybody knows everybody, no ones a stranger. I have been at CFP for almost 15 years, and i love the education, the teachers, and the fact that the school has giving me life long friends! The downside would be the lack of sports and the food (the food is terrible to be honest). We used to have a diversity of sports but know we are limited to two. Senior: I spent all four years of high school at Olympia and I enjoyed it a lot. The biggest reason is the number of opportunities that are given at the school. There are several AP classes, a few dual enrollment options, trade classes such as culinary and agriculture, many sports, even more clubs, and fantastic programs. The education there is also pretty good, and compared to other schools there is a lot on campus that's conducive to a successful learning environment. It is in a good area and there is a good amount of safeguards to make people feel secure. The campus itself looks good and it is fairly easy to navigate. Most of the teachers and staff there are nice and do their jobs. They make it feel like they want you to succeed, and they have a lot of support for students there. There are a lot of events done with clubs, sports, and the arts that help to give every student a chance to find their place in the school. Junior: West Orange High School is overall an AMAZING school. I would rate it a 4.8/5. The classes have a great variety, especially for the non-core classes. There’s photography, speech and debate, and even a agriculture class. Many things to choose from. This also goes for clubs! There’s beta club, bowling club, and a mental health awareness club (great for this generation that really wishes to make a change.) Id even argue that there’s too many to choose from. The administration and faculty are always friendly, guiding, and supportive of you. You get many opportunities and one feels great to attend there! Parent: Lake Whitney is an exceptional elementary school in Winter Garden Florida southwest of Orlando. This school is often described as providing a private school experience in a public school. The population size is reasonable and encourages a feeling of community. It is one of the few schools in the area that is not overcrowded. There is an active parent involvement. Teachers and staff are warm and welcoming. The administration actually knows most students by name and if they don't know you yet they will soon. Junior: I am currently a junior at Pine Castle Christian Academy. Next year when I am a senior, It will be my 15th year at this school. It's the only school I've ever known and I'm so glad I've had the privilege of attending this school. Teachers at Pine Castle Christian Academy truly care about you and furthering your education. At Pine Castle you become apart of a family and have so many people from different backgrounds. The best things about PCCA is the arts department there is drama, choir, dancing, video tech, band, art and photography. You really get to explore your talents and get closer to God in the process. At PCCA you aren't just a number, but someone that is really cared for and loved. I've seen the ups and down of Pine Castle, but right now it is at a high. Senior: This school is like no other! A small community full of wonderful students and amazing staff! Great administrations staff and cleaning staff! This school is one of the best I have seen academically. However, our athletic department is growing as well and making its way through the rankings on all sports! Our school was named the best charter school in Florida and we have received A+ school certification 3 years in a row, with various Project Lead The Way programs and National Honor Society students. The school offers lots of Advance Placement courses such as AP Chemistry, AP Biology, AP Calculus AB & BC, AP Psychology, AP World History, AP Human Geography, and those are a few of them. Parent: Lake Eola charter is an academic focusing school. Teachers are responsible, parents will be involved in many opportunities. It is not a traditional public school like having athletes teams and have lots of activities I have to admit, but I am surprised that school focus on the academy so much even from the kindergarten. As a downtown oriented school, they utilize orange county library, historic center, and lake Eola park very well. Small class which means teachers know each student’s situation well.
