Kirkwood Senior High School
#4 Best Public High Schools in Missouri
- Kirkwood School District, MO
- Rating 4.19 out of 5 275 reviews
Alum: Great school spirit culture/atmosphere to learn in. Has the feel of a public yet private school. The majority of students are really smart kids who get into high-ranking colleges. The small town feel of the Kirkwood community itself compared to the greater St. Louis area can seem a little sheltered at times, but it’s very friendly. It’s a bigger school, but the faculty does a great job of knowing each of their students by name, and they set aside time for students to help with academics. This is also a good faculty if you need letters of recommendation for college, and there is a huge alumni network. Overall, don’t waste your money on a private school education when you can get it at Kirkwood! It has a great regional reputation as well as strong academic programs. It is a great platform for students interested in going into journalism or business or the world of professional athletics. I would definitely recommend Kirkwood High School!

Junior: It is a AMAZING school. Many parents don't want their kids to go there, but take them to Nipher! It has so many kind teachers there. The extracurricular activites are great, Nipher is a great school, better than all the private schools. They control kids better than at private schools. I went to a private Islamic school, but switched to Nipher, the students are much more controlled at Nipher than they are at Islamic Schools. Your child Belongs@Nipher.

Sophomore: I had a great experience at WGHS! Overall, I had great teachers, and a very diverse group of teachers. I learned a bunch, even though it was in the middle of covid, and they executed their back to school plan very well. Everyone is very accepting as well! I was very big in the music program, and I thought there were many different options, and it was great!

Lindbergh High School
#19 Best Public High Schools in Missouri
- Lindbergh Schools, MO
- Rating 3.94 out of 5 366 reviews
Senior: I love LHS! It is a very good school; there are many opportunities and clubs open to students. The teachers are excellent at what they do, tutoring is available for free, and teachers are all kind and understanding. The culture is really nice too, although there is not much diversity, most students are involved and happy to be at Lindbergh. The school is taking steps to become better at what it does too which is important! The amount of technology, art, and other more niche extracurriculars/classes are starting to increase, which shows the district looking towards the future of education. Although I do not have to perspective of sports or music, the core classes are great! The district and teachers try to understand each student from K-12 and help them reach their potential. The campus is large and the amount of varying classes lets students feel what college will be like. Overall, great school!

Parent: Outstanding school all around. Academics are excellent, faculty are compassionate and the leadership is dedicated. Our daughter is a freshman there and could not be happier. The best part about this school are the friendly, kind hearted students. Our daughter asked “Fo they only let nice girls attend this school?” It’s pretty awesome how comfortable she and her friends are at UA. I like how the leadership partners with parents about important matters. Only wish it started in 7th grade!
