#208 Best Public High Schools in Florida
Junior: Cornerstone Charter Academy High School is different from other high schools in the fact that it is smaller than traditional high schools. This can be a good and bad thing, based on what matters to a person. The good thing is that the students are very close-knit, and although typical high school cliques exist, they still get along and can interact with each other well. Since almost everyone knows each other, it can be very obvious when there is a new student. But most students are very friendly and will try to make the new student feel comfortable until they become acclimated. Being a small school can have it’s disadvantages. Cornerstone Charter Academy is a K-12 school, and even though the elementary part and middle and high school part are separate, the campus itself is small and there is a lot of sharing of facilities. For example, the gymnasium in the middle school building is used for sporting events and doubles as a lunchroom for the elementary school children.
