Senior: I had an incredibly memorable experience. I was encouraged to do as much as I can, regarding clubs and sports. I played volleyball all four years, and I'm very glad I did. I made close friend that I would like to remain close with in my future. But in addition to volleyball, I played lacrosse my senior year. I wanted to play freshmen year, but then Covid struck and there was no season. I was intimidated to play my next two seasons because I knew I was behind on skill because I have never played before. But my senior year, I realized that I wouldn't have the opportunity to play on a high school team again, and decided to play. It turns out that there were other people in situations similar to mine on the team. But I became friends with people on the team fast, and am so glad I decided to play. The school also had lots of opportunities to travel to other countries. I traveled to two countries: Italy and Costa Rica. The Costa Rica trip inspired me to continue studying Spanish in college.... Senior: Hamburg is a great school with many attributes. We have supportive staff and students for the most part, though there are always a few exceptions to that rule. Students at Hamburg are typically intelligent and driven, and will challenge themselves with AP or college-level courses. The majority of Hamburg students go on to higher education. Hamburg offers multiple ways to begin higher education while still enrolled in high school. Several classes in your senior year, and a couple in junior, offer dual enrollment with nearby Hilbert College at a much lower price than you would pay for a normal college education. Beginning in your junior year, there is also an option to enroll in vocational programs to learn a trade such as cosmetology, plumbing, auto repair, childcare, welding, pre-veterinary school, and more.... Senior: While every school has its set of challenges, Mount Mercy is an amazing school. The opportunities paired with the faculty and students create an irreplaceable environment. Mercy allows each person to find themselves as individuals, what they like, what they're good at, and who they are, while also fostering an unmatchable community. You make lifelong friends here. Senior: Western New York Maritime Charter School has been a fantastic school of choice for me and hundreds of other students for the past few years. The environment created at this school is unlike any other. The entire student body are enrolled as jrotc students which allows the staff to teach us valuable lessons missing in other schools. The biggest of these is leadership, with many teams and almost all day to day operations being overlooked or run via these respected and trusted students. The school also has some of the best staff I've encountered at any school ever. very rarely is there an unliked or ineffective teacher. Junior: It is a pretty good school. Academic wise, it is beginning to have more advanced classes, which is good for students. Teachers and staff care about the students are really want them to succeed. However, there have been increasing conflicts with students, a lot of fights. This is definitely because of Covid. Before covid, the school arguably had better culture and spirit. There are pros and cons, and it is really up to the individual student to make the most out of their experience at Global. Senior: Eden is a small town where just about everybody knows everybody. For me, I love that aspect of it. Within the walls of this small school, there's not a whole lot of drama or trouble, just a bunch of high school kids doing their work and having fun. I can say plenty of great things about Eden's teachers, who form one on one bonds with each and every student. Most of them are pretty laid back, but still encourage and enforce the proper learning adequate necessary for a good education. All of the staff members are very helpful and there when you need assistance. As for sports go, the teams don't hold very rigorous tryouts since the school is so small, but we still have a handful of very good teams with good programs. Parent: My school teaches me discipline, respect, and responsibility. I love my school because it has lots of facilities. There is a playground, a computer lab, library, science labs, prayer hall, and a cafeteria. There are so many students studying in the school from Kindergarten to higher secondary classes. I also enjoy my school because it has some really cool teachers who make the lessons interesting and really make you want to work hard. I like school because I get to do things that can't do at home and I love seeing my friends. My school is special because we have a unique system that allows us as students to make our way to a better future. We have a community of respect and love for everyone no matter their race or skin color. The goal we have is to make a difference in the community and in ourselves to be something better.
