Junior: As a current junior day student, I really love Tabor! I can tell that the school really cares about the students and values our feedback. The classes are hard but manageable as long as you pay attention. There are class levels for everyone, opportunities to study abroad, great athletics, amazing food, and plenty of opportunities to get off campus as a boarding student. Senior: Despite covid taking two years away from my high school experience, I have had a fantastic time at Stang. Over the years, I have seen the diversity grow with each incoming class, making an overall more welcoming environment. The teachers are highly accommodating if you express your needs to them. I have never once felt that I couldn't reach out to my teachers if I needed help. The teachers will challenge your weak areas to shape a better student and a better member of society. Alum: The school has gone through many changes in the past couple years especially with the covid-19 outbreak. It’s a small school, capping at about 500 or so students. This is great since students get to be with people that they know throughout their years of schooling here. The school is very loving and has always put its students first. The one thing I would say would need some sort of improvement would be the promise of an expansion. The main campus is very small and can feel very cramped or boring at times. Senior: As a small and close-knit community, Westport Junior/Senior High School provides a student-focused education. Teachers work around after-school activities, as most teachers participate in clubs and sports. Due to the small community, students have an easier time interacting and making connections with teachers and staff. As a part of the student council, there were many instances where the staff compromised in order to allow us to put on a fundraiser or any other activity. The sports teams at Westport Junior/Senior High School are excellent, as we are almost always contenders in the state tournament at the end of the season. Senior: Old Colony Regional Vocational Technical high school is a spectacular school for students who strive towards a more fulfilling future and a close community. It’s geared towards those who are interested in vocational programs and smaller schools. It has 13 different shops to choose from in many different types of fields. It has hard labor, computer, and hands-on shop options for everyone to find a shop they enjoy. Some examples are metal fabrication, computer science, culinary arts, health careers, etc. This aspect of the school prepares students for the workforce far more than regular academic-only schools. Though it might not be the most wealthy school money-wise, it is rich in community engagement. Almost everyone knows each other and even the most crazy-different personalities create the closest of bonds. Freshman: My freshman year has been a great experience. The teachers are very nice, helpful and always available to students. There’s a variety of sports to get into. The school is very clean and I do feel safe at GNBVT. The shops are all impressive & as a freshman you have the exploratory trimester to check out a wide variety before choosing one if you didn’t have one in mind already. Academics are well rounded & provide different courses as you move forward to prepare you for college or straight into a work field. My first year has been filled with great memories of making new friends, staying in touch with old friends, exploring the medical field and just taking in all of what GNBVT has to offer! Go Bears!... Senior: I enjoyed my time at Diman Regional, I came from Westport, which is a small town in comparison to Fall River which for me was helpful in learning how to interact with many different people. I also liked how they were very helpful with getting assignments done, each teacher would have their own extra help days to stay after to help any kids who were falling behind. My peers and I found that very helpful. Something that I think could be improved would be their strictness. I understand that having intense rules keep everyone safe and orderly, but there are some rules that go a little too far, in my opinion. I know many students who have received a Saturday school for things that, in my opinion, are miniscule in comparison to other things that kids are doing. Senior: Atlantis Charter School has a welcoming evironment - and cares about their students education. Each year, new students are welcomed from all backgrounds. They offer ESL classes to those who are of brazillian and portuguese backgrounds, and are accomodating to all. For seniors, they have made a website where we are able to find information all about college and scholarships, and are mainly a college-focused school. If you are not interested in college however, they are supportive of that too and do not force it. The staff is knowledgeble and an academy is offered for juniors and seniors. Junior: Argosy collegiate is a school which provides many out let’s to allow access to opportunities for success and independence. It is the foundation for which shapes and molds children of this generation into brilliant and self aware young adults who are able to to make it in today’s world. Not only is it diverse and consists of teens with various ethnic backgrounds, knowledge, teaching and live in general. It does not take into account flaws or mistakes but instead sees them as a way of life. Having this opportunity to join this schools team has given a chance to those who may have had another path set for them automatically not matter the reason which is why this school im particular, deserves recognition and support from Citroen’s throughout this country we proudly call our home. Senior: Overall, I'm genuinely so appreciative of the opportunities I've had at this school & I love coming to school. Personally, I have had a great experience here with the teachers, my classes, & the overall atmosphere (some of the time depending on general classes vs. AP or honors). I've absolutely LOVED most of my teachers & they have impacted me so incredibly much - generally, they are understanding, reasonable, & actually want to teach. The opportunities/resources given are great & extremely beneficial, including AP and honors classes, dual-enrollment with UMass and BCC, GearUP (college readiness - which has been EXTREMELY helpful with my applications/process), JROTC, clubs, sports, etc. I haven't had any issues with administration or particular teachers or counselors but I have heard of some stories. The only real critique I have is the lack of communication in some circumstances, however, I've seen it improve over the time I've been here along with safety - with new alarms & security... Senior: I enjoyed the aspect of being considered a family at Bristol Aggie. Everyone is supportive of everyone, and people are willing to standup for themselves and others. I also enjoyed all of the fantastic major options. For example, I am in small animal science, and I love the feeling of getting to class every day and knowing that I am learning about something I enjoy and take pride in. I get so excited to see the animals each day. The staff are always so kind and helpful and I can trust them.
