Parent: CMH has gone above and beyond during this pandemic by providing an excellent college prep experience while strictly following all COVID-19 safety parameters. I am very happy with the level of responsiveness by teachers and administrators at this school. While many students in our state have literally missed a year of school, CMH students have been able to study in person, meet with friends, and participate in athletics, arts, and worship. When I decided to send my daughter to CMH, I was a little hesitant because of the money, but I now can confirm that this is money well spent! Many public school parents who have had to watch their children rot at home with no athletic opportunities and canned online lessons, will most likely be paying money down the line to alleviate the inevitable psychological problems this pandemic will cause our state's children.... Senior: The High School of Health Sciences gives students many opportunities relating to STEM. They have partnerships with many organizations that help students figure out their post-high school plans. The High School of Health Sciences allowed me to take a CNA class through WCTC. The High School of Health Science staff help support each student and tries to prepare them for college if that is what the students' plan is. Their school has self-paced classes which help students learn key skills. While attending this high school for all four years, I have learned organization, time management, and communication skills. Sophomore: Although I am only a sophomore, my two years at Mukwonago High School have been great. As a freshman, I knew I wanted to enter the medical field. Mukwonago Highschool offers a medical pathway that has me on my way to becoming a medical professional. I started with Bio-med and found an even greater interest in pursuing medicine. Mukwonago High school also has exceptionally supportive and helpful teachers and staff members who genuinely want to see their students succeed. Clubs and sports at Mukwonago high school shape our community; sports bring people together, and I have never experienced a supportive community as I have at a Mukwonago football game. I think very highly of Mukwonago, but we still have some work to do on the topic of diversity. Unfortunately, it's not unusual to hear slurs in the halls, particularly toward students who are part of the LGBTQ+ community. Niche User: I attended Big Bend Elementary myself and I have a daughter in high school that also attended this school. It is in Big Bend Wisconsin, not Vernon Town. Junior: My family is Christian and my parents truly value Christian education. Heritage teaches all classes from a Christian perspective while also giving insight on other views and teaches you how to ask good questions about your faith. Heritage is rather small compared to other schools and when I first started attending, I didn’t feel as though I quite fit. It took time for me to adjust, but then again none of the other new students seemed to have this problem so it could just be me. I joined student council to help change the atmosphere of the school and grow school spirit, I feel that I have. I have started many new events and feel that school at class spirit are at a new high. It was a rough start for me as the new kid at Heritage, but I now see Heritage as my home away from home and have made many lifelong friends. Alum: East Troy has a large offering of classes (especially for a school of their size). These offerings allow students to get a good foundation for life after graduation and they can even start earning college credit while in high school. Although ETHS had financial restrictions, their staff are loyal and passionate about the subject and students they teach. The school is a small community and the students have the resources necessary for success. Parent: I have been both an employee and a parent at this school. My son attended from 18 months through K3 and he had a fantastic experience. His Montessorian in the Children's House classroom had over 20 years of Montessori teaching experience and made a huge impression on him. He did struggle for a short time with the transition from Toddler to Children's House, but he wasn't used to doing that much work! They keep the students very busy in this school, which is why they are so successful. Parent: This is great middle school. They have advanced math up to high school geometry, a good selection of athletics, many clubs such as forensics and engineering, a nice instrumental program, and a great art teacher. The teachers do not inflate grades, which is good because I want my child to be told early on that something she did sucks if it was done poorly. The administration here is overly cautious, but that is probably a good thing when dealing with middle schoolers. Even though it is a private school, most families are solid middle class and the rich ones don't go around acting like they are rich. Alum: This school was very nice and had a loving community. However, there were definitely a couple of issues with bullying and name-calling, which made some of my years there quite sad. Parent: We have two boys attending St Jacobi for the past 4 years. It is an amazing school academically and spiritually. We feel blessed to have our boys attending St. Jacobi.
