Middle School Student: The teachers are not mean and it’s pretty easy to make friends, but it’s mostly filled with white kids but there are still other races it depends year to year I love that the school is run by 2 ladies because the dress code is not as strict as it was for girl’s before with a male in charge. Niche User: When I was enrolled at Midland High School, the first thing that caught my attention was how inviting everyone was. This was not only a positive attribute that not only teachers held to newcomers of the school, but the students that attended as well. I had an overall exciting experience at Midland High attending sport events to orient my pride toward the school, participating in extracurricular activities like DECA as well as a community volunteer club called 'Key Club". The only thing that I wish that the school would improve on is the education in the classroom. Sometimes as a student, I noticed how it seemed as though some teachers didn't seem as passionate about the subject they taught as others. Senior: Attending Nouvel has been the greatest 4 years of my life. The small class sizes, the competitiveness in athletics, the ‘family’ mentality, the bond, and so much more! They make sure they give their students the best possible opportunities to succeed and go on to have a bright future. The teachers and faculty care and no one is left alone. If people are not doing well in class, they offer ‘PASS’ which is basically a one-on-one until that student is passing. I haven’t ever wanted to leave Nouvel and I cannot see a reason why you would not try your hardest to send your kid to NCC! Parent: It was a really great experience, and definitely a good way to finish gen. ed.s early! There's a good balance of high school and college courses, and the program allows for an easy transition from public school to college with a good support group for continuing to finish your degree. I think the only downside is that because it is on a college campus, it's harder to join school clubs, as you can't join the college's clubs. Clubs can still exist, but it's entirely up to the students to keep them going. Sports are also harder, and you have to join them through the school you used to enroll into the program.... Senior: Thinking back to my high school years, I'd like to see the district add on more classrooms. Most to all of my classes were overloaded with students and there wasn't enough space to move around. This year I wasn't impacted as much because of Covid-19 and learning from home. Next, I'd like to see how district off more college readiness programs. Being the first member in my family to go to college, it was eye opening of all the things that are expectations upon us seniors. The school didn't provide much guidance on how to apply to colleges, how to fill out financial aid or where to find scholarships. My parents and I had to learn as we go. On the positive side, our school has a great parent involvement. Our PTO provides many fun events to our student body and community and are always offering their support. Next, our school lunches are fantastic! They offer many great and healthy options especially pizza from our local restaurant! Overall, I had a good experience at Freeland High.... Read 102 reviews

Senior: The absolute best attribute of Calvary, as a whole, is the collectively godly, uplifting, and genuinely friendly character of the students and teachers. Everybody knows everybody at Calvary, and that particular family feel is the second best part about Calvary. The teachers really do invest time and love into the lives of the students, seek them out when they seem to be having a bad day, and hug whenever they need it! I have a special place in my heart for Calvary.
