Senior: During my four experience at Longwood High School. I have had to experience Covid shutdown for my 9th grade and part of my 10th grade years. This making new friends was challenging. We had to do all of our school work on the computer with very little interaction with others. So as my 11th year approached I was excited and nervous to meet new people. As my 11th year went on, the teachers, staff and administration helped us all transition into this school year with such great understanding of what we had all have just gone through. Knowing it wasn't just you (me) having the same feelings. I knew we were all in this together which has made my high school experience an experience that will never be forgotten. For all of us. Parent: School has a lot of programs that the kids can take advantage of. Teachers are helpful and caring. The support and dedication are incredible. I’m not going to lie, when my daughter was in elementary school my plan was finding a new house in a better district because I heard all kind of bad reviews about longwood district, but now that we experienced I love it, of course nothing in life is perfect but I feel and my daughter agrees that diversity, the course opportunities and sport programs are a great help to education and creating a better human being. My daughter is a high honor roll, a member of the National Junior Society and into sports. Nothing will be possible without the teachers dedication and of course the student has to put his part.... Freshman: I am currently attending rcs and I love it the education you get there is great the only down side is they don’t have many clubs yet. They have many cultural celebrations which is great so every student can feel inclusive. Parent: After attending a daycare for the first year and a half of my son's life, I knew that it was time to find somewhere else to send him. After much consideration, my husband and I decided on the Laurel Hill School, even though it adds 35 minutes to our morning commute and is completely out of our way. This difficult decision is the best one I have ever made. My son is 2 and speaks in full sentences, knows the alphabet, and can count to 20. Alum: This is the school that changed my life. As a high school student, taking BOCES my junior and senior year was a amazing experience and made the pathway to my future clear. This school provides interesting areas of studies like art design, culinary, video production and many more. These classes are designed to get students a feel for their area of study and to prepare them for the working world. The staff is excellent, and they want their students to excel and truly learn in their field. Teachers are not only teachers, but with their years of experience and expertise in their fields it’s easy to see why the 5 star rating will always define ESBOCES for me.
