Bridgewater-Raritan High School
#38 Best Public High Schools in New Jersey
Senior: BRHS will definitely prepare you for college academically. The rigor of the courses teach you to have a good work ethic, which is really important for college.
As for the guidance counselors, I was lucky enough to have a great guidance counselor who helped me every step of the way during the college application/admission process. However, not everyone shared such an experience, and many of my friends complained that they felt pressured to apply/not apply to certain schools by their counselor.
BRHS has many clubs, but some die within a few months because members aren't interested. You'll quickly realize that Speech & Debate, Mock Trial, and Model UN Nations are some of the few clubs which are worth joining.
Because the school is so big, you don't have to worry about making friends. There will always be people who you'll share interests with and just vibe with.
Overall, BRHS has its pros and cons, but just make the most of it and enjoy your time there; it flies by very quickly!
