Whitesboro High School
#334 Best Public High Schools in New York
- Whitesboro Central School District, NY
- Rating 3.78 out of 5 139 reviews
Sophomore: Whitesboro has something for every type of student. Everything was honestly great until COVID hit, but now some of the teachers don’t know how to use technology which is a nuisance for students. Most of my teachers have been making a decent effort to keep students engaged during hybrid learning. The football team is really good but leads to other sports getting overlooked. My advice to anyone looking at Whitesboro is to get involved in clubs music and sports. The music program has so many electives and extra curricular activities and all of the teachers are helpful.

Holland Patent Central High School
#509 Best Public High Schools in New York
- Holland Patent Central School District, NY
- Rating 3.05 out of 5 58 reviews
Senior: Holland Patent High School creates a tight-knit community, especially during times of tradition, like homecoming. Academically, we've added new programs, such as SUPA for English among many other AP and dual credit classes. A variety of classes are offered in maths, the sciences, social studies, and finance, yet a variety is lacking regarding the language department, where only Spanish and French give credit, as ASL does not. Racial diversity is lacking, as the high school is within a small rural town, which often inspires previously sheltered students to branch out, attending college or traveling to larger, more diverse cities. Teachers at the high school, for the most part, care deeply about the students and want to help them succeed as much as they can. The school hosts some strong sports team. Overall, Holland Patent High School provides a sound academic foundation for college, yet not necessarily a social one.
