Penfield Senior High School
#69 Best Public High Schools in New York
- Penfield Central School District, NY
- Rating 3.86 out of 5 269 reviews
Senior: Penfield Senior High School has a vast array of academic and extracurricular activities, including an exceptional music program and very strong sports teams. The school spirit is very high, and this is mostly due to the supportive faculty. However, there has not been widely available mental health support, although there have been too many mental health crises of attending students, and I believe that a larger focus should be put on diversity and understanding and appreciating other cultures, especially as a mostly white school in a suburb. Penfield High School has adapted very well to the COVID-19 pandemic, providing devices and academic opportunities to their students as best as they can.

Victor Senior High School
#82 Best Public High Schools in New York
- Victor Central School District, NY
- Rating 3.97 out of 5 249 reviews
Senior: Victor is a fairly large school (350 per class) but you definitely do not feel it until high school and even then it is still personalized. There are many, many parents that are teachers or administration at the school so it's a small town feel. They put lots of money into the school with a brand new aquatic center, and another indoor sports center, which we definitely need with the terrible weather we have. The campus is just beautiful - it's like a small college campus!

Ruben A. Cirillo High School
#286 Best Public High Schools in New York
- Gananda Central School District, NY
- Rating 3.66 out of 5 67 reviews
Parent: A small district with wonderful teachers. Close knit community where everyone helps everyone. A good variety of courses to choose from. College courses offered.
With being such a small district, certain areas get lost. Wish there were more classes for arts and music. These two areas get lost sometimes when making out student schedules. Choices have to be made, and a lot of the time the music and art have to be left out.
Overall the Gananda School District, even though very small, has a lot to offer. We, as students, and parents, with the counselars help, are prepared for the next step toward college.

Wayne Senior High School
#406 Best Public High Schools in New York
- Wayne Central School District, NY
- Rating 3.71 out of 5 58 reviews
Senior: I am a graduating senior from Wayne and I really enjoyed the school. Being adopted, I could have ended up anywhere, but I couldn't be happier with the High School I attended. The educational opportunities are amazing, including a variety of college courses(AP, IB, and Gemini) that a student can choose to take. At the same time, there is plenty of help for any student struggling to keep up. The staff are very knowledgeable in their professions and make sure to keep everyone on track. The class sizes are perfect, small enough for personal connections between student and teacher to form, yet large enough to maximize learning in each classroom. The student body is not very diverse, given its location, but there are minimal conflicts amongst classmates. There have been a few fights in my four years here, but they were all dealt with properly. All in all, I enjoyed attending Wayne Senior High School and would highly recommend it to any parent or student.
