Senior: I think Archbishop Chapelle High School is an excellent school. They have many activities, such as Rally, Challenge, pink week, spirit weeks, etc.. These activities allow the individual classes and school as a whole to bond and form lifelong friendships. The education at Chapelle is great and really prepares you for college. They offer many classes that aid in the preparation of college, such as advanced placement and dual enrollment. All of the teachers genuinely care about each and every student and want to see them succeed in life. Students can go talk to them to get help with the class or even just to talk about their day. Senior: My Hahnville High School experience has been an awesome one! With taking honors/AP classes I find the curriculum is very challenging but rewarding. HHS has many resources and outlets to be able to learn in school, including after school tutoring and ACT preparation. I really enjoy the football season and how it brings out the school spirit in everyone including the community. In addition, I find the student body is very diverse, and the students have an appreciation for culture differences. As with most institutions, there are always opportunities to improve. I think the students would benefit more if more dual enrollment classes were offered in math and science. Overall, great place to go to school and will always have a place in my heart.... Senior: I enjoy attending John Curtis Christian School because it is a small family-orientated school that treats everyone like family. The teachers and staff are helpful and want to see the students succeed in their education and future. The school has high energy when showing school spirit. They encourage all students to participate in clubs and groups and attend functions to support and show school spirit. John Curtis also does fundraisers and collects items to help the communities in need after a disaster, such as tornados, hurricanes, floods, illnesses, and holiday baskets for the needy. I appreciate John Curtis offering dual enrollment for their honor students to take advantage of completing LSU college classes while attending high school. Senior: My first year in Lutheran High school was during Covid and it was in person learning instead of online but the teachers and staff did everything in their power to maintain a safe environment for the students while giving us a the opportunity to experience the high school year. The teachers are very easy to talk to and very helpful, if I ever needed help with anything the teachers were very welcoming and open to hear what I had to say and talk to me about it. Throughout my junior year (my first year there) I got to know all the teachers and I could tell that they understood our struggles during the pandemic so they made days where we would play games and come to school wearing pajama, they would also give us activities in class so we wouldn't be stressed out about classwork and homework. This is my second year at Lutheran High School and my last year here as well and I am glad to say that I will be graduating here as a senior. Freshman: St. Ann School was great. The teachers were always very supportive and genuinely cared about their students. There were never any serious safety issues in my time going there. There are a variety of sports to try like volleyball, baseball, and flag football. The curriculum there was very straightforward but also prepared me for highschool. Overall, this is a great school that I'd recommend for your child if you want to educate them in the Catholic faith or just want a good school that will support them and prepare them for highschool.... Middle School Student: A current 7th grade at St. Philip Neri's. I love that St. Martin's is a small close knit community, but doesn't seem small. Access to my teachers is available, and they are always happy to help in anyway, you simply have to ask. Getting involved is very easy and encouraged. There are tons of clubs to participate in and if you wish to start a club, it is super easy. It is very possible to play in multiple sports and still have time for your academics.... Read 1 review

High School Junior: I had a great overall experience at SCB. The teachers were nice and willing to go the extra mile to help me and everyone else out. They really prepared me for high school. Once I got to middle school, the work load and difficulty of school definitely became a lot more challenging. They even offer Foreign language in middle school, and the really helps out onece you get to high school. In middle school, it is also possible to take trips to places like Boston, Philadelphia, or Washington D.C. for a few days. The memories from those trips have laste me for years and something I will always cherish. If I were to repeat elementary/middle school, there is no doubt I would pick SCB again. When I went to high school I was ahead of the other kids and it really allowed me to not have to worry about taking the required classes but to take more fun electives. Niche User: My four years of experience here have been uneventful. I have never had any issues. The school has a family like atmosphere. Everyone knows everyone. And all are very helpful. The children are very respectful to each other and the staff and adults. I think that is why it's so easy for the kids to learn. There's no distractions and they are all eager to learn new things. Niche User: Overall, this school is great because of the small environment and the large amount of courses students are able to take. The teachers are friendly and really gets to know their students through more connection than just name calling and remembering faces. Even though a small environment Christian school, the population is diverse and students will not have a hard time being accepted by others. Since the school is a small environment, the classes are generally smaller and the teacher to student ration is perfect. In this situation, students will be able to succeed better and be able to ask questions and participate in class more. Parent: St. Christopher school is a well established, family involved school. I went to SCS from Pre-K-8, and now my three children attend school there. The curriculum is taught in a fun yet challenging way, and the staff members go above and beyond to get to know the children and what works best for each child. My son was diagnosed with ADHD last year, and they have made accommodations for him as well as keep the doors of communication open with me to ease my mind along the way.
