Sophomore: Rapoport Academy is honestly a school unlike any other in the Central Texas area. Rapoport is very dedicated to the success and accomplishment of academics of students and going above and beyond to push their students to higher places that aren't often offered at other schools. The community is very tight-knit, there isn't much commotion between students and mostly everyone is familiar with each other. Teachers are very dedicated to creating a student-teacher bond that makes students comfortable in their environment and free to express their opinions and self values. Overall, academics are heavily emphasized, geared towards success. The tight community is the ribbon on top adding to the meritable reputation that Rapoport shows above other schools. Senior: Lorena High School has been a wonderful school for me. I've been in Lorena High School all 4 years of high school. What I love about Lorena High School is the size of the school. It's not too big, but also not too small. I would say Lorena is the perfect small/medium size. While having a school that's more on the smaller side rather than the larger side can be good, there's also flaws that come along with it. Lorena High School is small enough to where if there's any big drama or news being told to people, it can quickly spread like a wild fire. After being here for 4 years, I've learned to not share any news I wouldn't like the whole school to know! One thing I would like to see change at Lorena is the attendance policy. Even if a student has a doctor's note from being sick for a week straight, they will still count it as an absence. Parent: ECA has the best staff and administrators! The moment you walk in, it is evident that this is a caring place, greeted with friendly smiles and welcoming attitude. It is a small close community, that provides a well-rounded education; addressing academics as well as emotional, spiritual, physical well-being of the children. Our two children have been there for a year, and are flourishing! They offer art, music, PE, tech and Spanish as part of the curriculum. Senior: I have been at Harmony since the 4th grade and now I am a senior and still in the same school. I didn't like Harmony at first but it taught me discipline and education. I was never into robotics but now I am captain of my robotics team because Harmony encouraged me to join and further excel within my education and even extra curricular activities. I really enjoy how small the school is because I adapted to having that one on one time with the teachers and knowing my piers very well so build relationships. Although Harmony was small they provided so many opportunities for my education. I will graduate with college credits, going to college and knowing what I will study, I have a lot of knowledge about financial aid, and a plan for my future. Parent: I absolutely love Woodway Christian School. We have two children in school there, one started in pre-school and is now a 1st grader, and one started in 4th grade and is now a 6th grader. They do such an amazing job of teaching our children empathy and care for others. Their curriculum covering Christianity and the bible is the best I've ever seen. My daughter frequently comes home and is teaching me about things I didn't even know. Our older child struggled in his previous school with finding his groove, and that's never been a problem at WCS. The kindness that exudes from the teachers, support staff, and fellow students melts my heart and makes me extremely proud to tell folks about where my children go to school.
