Senior: I would love to see more involvement from other students. The students do not enjoy pep rallies or going to sporting events. The teachers are wonderful. There have been a few issues, but nothing that couldn't be fixed.

Senior: During my highschool career I spent most of my days in a welcoming environment. Many teachers are easy to talk to about issues and are willing to go the extra mile to help in class.Over the last few years I have had mental health issues and my school has offered extra days to do homework, giving the opportunity to present projects privately, and allowing special places in the school to be a safe zone for me if I became overwhelmed. In graduation requirements every student must do service hours, that means we needed to go out of our way to give back to our community in need. Our counselor is in charge of helping and creating class schedules and she determines which classes to be placed in that she knows we will excel in and be given special opportunities to learn. The only thing we do not have much of is diversity in our school, but that is not the schools fault.Living in a small town in Iowa diversity isn't always too common, but students of color are given the same treatment and respect.

Senior: I have gone to Tekamah Herman High School since Kindergarten and I am now a senior in high school. Tekamah is a great school and will always stay that way in my opinion. Just like any other school there are always going to be issues with the students but that is something that is very rarely going to be resolved. Other than any other basic high school problems that every single high school has there are very rare things that can actually be fixed from the administration. Thanks to Tekamah I have been given a lot of opportunities that I probably would not have gotten from others.
