Freshman: Lebanon Trail is a school that has very good academics, as well as teachers yet there are some aspects that tug my rating down just a bit, including the food quality of the cafeteria, which has been proven by the amount of students who walk out from the lunch line with only drinks, and no food. Also students have complained about the food in the past, leading me to change my rating. The facilities at Lebanon Trail are average, yet we currently only have a few bathrooms open due to the students participating in consequential activities and their lack of empathy to the bathrooms. Good aspects of Lebanon Trail include their Fine Arts program, where the band, orchestra, and theater excel in the school. The diversity is also outstanding, letting multiple cultures mix, leading healthy environment. In general, even though Lebanon Trail has its faults, it still an overall good school to attend.... Senior: I am in the IB (International Baccalaureate) program at Frisco High School and can say that my overall experience at Frisco High School has been good. I've been to a lot of schools and believe that Frisco is one of the best schools that I've been to. I've made a lot of friends and have goods relationships with my teachers. I especially like how considerate the school is because they have retest and late work policies that prevent students from feelings stressed and overwhelmed. One of the schools that I went to before, Vandegrift High School, made me really stressed due to the grading policies, but Frisco High School has allowed me to worry less about school work and has also allowed me to find a balance between life and school. On top of that, I'm really grateful that my school has the IB program because it's helping me prepare for college and has allowed me to develop valuable traits for the real world.... Senior: Best thing in Legacy Christian Academy is the teachers. They all are very caring with the students. Small class setting, 1:15 ratio allows everyone receives teacher attention. The school prep you to become excellent in your study. Legacy Christian Academy need to improve their building capacity since they are grow so much. Junior: I like Founders better because the curriculum is very in depth, and it goes to the core understandings of each subject where we even talk about the history of each core subject. I also love the teachers since they explain and teach every single topic very well and they have a high level of knowledge in their subject. Society wise, I love founders because it is a very small school with 76 students in my grade itself! And I love this small environment because I am able to create long lasting friendships with many people since I grew up with them since 6th grade and we all became very close and its like a huge family.... Senior: My experience at Lone Star has overall been a good one. There’s been ups and downs of course as all high schools have had, but I’ve genuinely enjoyed my time here. When covid hit it grew really hard for everyone, and many people’s grades suffered, but when it was safe to return, the administration worked hard to bring all the children’s motivation and grades up, as they understand it’s not only the grades that matter, but how the kids feel. Teachers here understand kids need to be emotionally and mentally well in order to do anything inside and outside of school, and many are willing to help children with just about anything. I would wish that there is less busy work just to keep kids working, and make assignments that will genuinely help the kids, as if all kids see are busywork, it makes them not want to do anything at all.... Middle School Student: I loved Nelson a lot because it was a place that made me feel like I was at home! It was a very kind environment to be in, everyone was really kind and always supported one another. One thing that I would change about Nelson is probably the school color! It sounds funny, but green just got too boring along these long 3 years. Our lockers, our gym, and even the tiles in the bathroom were green. I would of loved to have more color at this school! Alum: This isn’t just a school to me, it’s my second family. Words can’t describe how grateful I am for the experience I had at POP. I went there from K-12 and I’m so thankful for my years there. The staff are so kind and I always felt like they truly cared for me. My fellow classmates were incredible and I’m still best friends with many of my fellow graduates. POP provided a wonderful education that has prepared me well for college. I even ask some of my high school teachers for help in college because they are truly always there for me and care so much for me. The sports are competitive and fun because I have bonded with so many people outside of my grade through POP athletics. The theater program is awesome and they were so welcoming and accepting of me. POP truly has so much talent. The Christian environment is just the cherry on top that makes this school so much sweeter.
