Alum: I loved my three years there! I have had invaluable once-in-a-lifetime opportunities and experiences here and I have grown so much from my journey! Fair warning, it is pretty rigorous academically and, and especially a rather sharp learning curve if you enter after freshman year ,(I was a new sophomore) but, once you find or reach out to the necessary people, it'll make the adjustment so much easier. Though your schedule will most likely almost always be packed, that also means you have a plethora of opportunities to stretch and apply yourself, not just in fields that you cam into high school good at, but in new subject areas and co-curriculars you might have never even heard of before.... Parent: Our son is a senior who has attended The Pennington School since his freshman year and his experience has been tremendous! He has friends from all over the world, his classes have had about 8 to 13 students in each which has translated to personalized and high-level instruction with active student engagement/participation every day, he's participated in sports and multiple activities, clubs and fundraisers all 4 years including tutoring students in Malawi, being part of the Global Studies program, and serving on the "Green Team" where he has been able to make an environmental impact. We hosted 2 international students his soph year who have become family. And he is already set up with where he will attend college next year. This school offers so much that it has been a gift that he has been able to attend for his high school years. It molds girls into strong, confident, and beautiful young women ready to change the world! The faculty and staff truly dedicate their time and efforts to make sure the girls have an amazing education, a real high school experience, touch into their spirituality and St. Lucy Filippini, the founder of the school. Sophomore: I love attending Nazareth. Teachers care about their students and have engaging topics in their classes. There's many clubs and sports and the girls that attend here have a great sense of school pride. The school real cares about our mental health and they prioritize us. A counselor is always available to a student throughout the day. I love the new block scheduling for students.It optimizes the students attention span and they include much needed breaks to avoid students to feel burn out.Class sizes are usually small and it leads to deeper connections between students and teachers.Food is great and staff is friendly.Art and Music is vital for our school community. Parent: All 3 of my children have had the privileged of starting their academic life in this school. The teachers and staff are amazing - helpful, kind, smart, resourceful, creative and loving. They respond so positively to not only their student but the parents as well. Because the student-to-teacher ratio is low, there is more individualized learning opportunities. Those students that need more guidance AND those that need more academic challenges are both given equal attention. Senior: Pennsbury is a very good school as its administration is visible more than most times. The authority figures of Pennsbury frequently pop into lunches and classrooms to make conversation and familiarize themselves with the students. Because of this, students feel safer and more present in their school. An even more beneficial trait Pennsbury takes on is its effort to incorporate all aspects of culture and diversity. PHS incorporates different heritage months during their student-run morning announcements by doing a daily segment on particular fun facts. These segments are informative and entertaining while taking advantage of technology. Because there are 3000+ students currently attending Pennsbury high school, diversity is an extremely valuable trait of this school. Junior: I have been a student here for 3 years now, and I have had quite the experience with this school. The teachers here are supportive and kind-they really want you to succeed. The students here are like every other school, we have the popular kids and the loners. This school is overall amazing, though it has some underlying flaws. The diversity is not the best, which anyone can see. But in order to add more inclusion into our school, we have the SHADES club, which is a club for people of color, where they can celebrate their differences. Senior: Franklin Towne Charter high school is a great college preparatory school. They make sure all students are on task with their education and extra curricular activities. They try their best to give their students as much support as possible. This school gives out help to any student in need. Teachers stay after school to help the students that are falling behind so that they will better understand content and assignments. Franklin Towne is a safe environment for students. They have security around the school and they also have security in the school. Security does random school bag checks to make sure that no one is carrying a weapon with them or any substances. They also do random metal detector tests on students to insure everyones safety. Every once in a while Franklin Towne brings K9 dogs to sniff out students lockers to make sure everything is right. Junior: I have been at School Lane Charter School since I was in 2nd grade and I am not a junior in high school. I commend School Lane for always seeking ways to better the experience of students. You can see that each year is a year to reflect on the past which I like. The high school IB Campus is very small so this gives teachers the ability to get to know their students and understand what the best environment will be to help them succeed academically. The academic portion is very rigorous and this is taught school wide. REFLECTING is a big thing at school lane which is great because how are you gonna grow without reflection? I wish that the voices of students were heard more though. I wish that more opportunities were given to students to grow socially. I feel that many students feel that their voices aren't heard. Niche User: If I had known about Life Center Academy sooner, both of our kids would have attended it instead of another "Christian" school. The administration and staff really treat it as a ministry so the Jesus factor is tenfold any other school we encountered since moving to South Jersey. The teachers are amazing in their care for the students and not just academically, they go way out of their way to help the kids. The sports facilities are the best in SJ and the coaches are all men and women of God, not just coaches. Alum: I feel as though my high school experience was very average. Nothing is extremely distinguishable about my school and I feel it hasn't done me any harm or good for my future plans. I feel that with reviewing anything, there is always room for improvement. I think the mascot needs to be changed, and that the community needs to be listened to when speaking up for what they believe in. I think Neshaminy High School has a tremendous arts program and it is completely due to the community they have built within the friendships that blossomed, but it is neglected to favor the sports the teams. Overall, Neshaminy has an overall sense of school spirit if you want to be involved. There is plenty of opportunity for involvement, but oftentimes if you are not on the sports teams, there is really nothing you can do to make yourself super involved if you're not considered "popular".... My school has definitely prepared me to be a hardworking person. What I love about my school is the acceptance of other cultures and religions. My school has a week dedicated to students who want to embrace their cultural backgrounds. On this week students have different days where they can bring in some of their favorite foods to eat they might have on a special holiday or occasion.
