Senior: Lemoore Middle College High School is a public-charter school (students aged 13-19) with a population of 240 in Lemoore, California and is adjacent to West Hills College- Lemoore. This school is classified as a ''college preparation'' campus and propels all students to success and readiness by dual-enrolling them with West Hills College- Lemoore. They are able to maintain AA degrees in high school before they transfer to a four-year university if they choose and are equipped with academic skills and knowledge. In my experience, most students usually come to school with a sense of responsibility and focus. There are not much opportunities for athletes at this facility as we do not have intramural sports with the small class size; however, there is adequate 1-on-1 time with teachers and counselors if you need extra help. We are also able to share college resources such as the public library, student union, counselors, tutors, et cetera, which is suitable and accommodating...

Junior: I loved everything about Kings Christian School - the students, the faculty, the traditions, everything. Kings Christian School is full of students who genuinely care about one another, taking time to write stick it notes with encouraging bible verses and sayings and display them in specific rooms. The faculty is kind and personal, willing to work around individual student's schedules to help the student do their best and participate as much as possible. Kings Christian School even runs a program for homeschoolers - like me - allowing homeschoolers to partake in Kings Christian sports and academics while continuing to take classes at home...

Visalia Charter Independent Study

Alum: I did the online program at the school and it worked amazingly for me. I was able to complete work at my own pace and was able to get ahead sometimes. My master teacher was phenomenal. She helped me with so much, including the registration process for taking courses at our local community college. I took one in person course while at the school and it was great as well. The class size was under 10 people, so we got to have a lot of one-on-one time with the teacher, and the class was 2 days a week. Because the school was independent study, they were a bit strict on allowing new students to join but it was for the better as you could tell the students who were there genuinely wanted to learn. After completing my freshman year of high school at a traditional school where I was miserable, I was and still am very grateful I had VCIS as an alternative option. It made my high school experience so much better...

Senior: As a 13 year student, I’ve truly enjoyed my experience here at AUA. I’ve created many great memories and have been taught viable information from amazing teachers that will assist me as I enter the workforce. I will say that this school is lacking many extra educational programs like an honor society and clubs, and a couple high school teachers tend to change every 1-2 years, which isn’t the best. However, 96% of all the teachers I’ve had truly cared for the well-being of every student. They listen to the students’ opinions, and they give specific help to students if necessary. My time here was well spent, and I’m eager to see what the future holds for this school...

Senior: I am a senior at Lemoore High School. Both my parents and older sister have graduated from Lemoore Hight School. Lemoore is located in the central valley the heart of the California. It is a small community with a large footprint in agriculture, diary and food manufacturing. The overall school environment is very traditional and family oriented. Many of the teachers, counselors and staff have attended and graduated from Lemoore high school and are now working here. Lemoore high school has a great school to attend. It has great security and safety in place for its students and staff. They offer great on the job training opportunity through career pathways. I personally was able to experience this through the health occupational experience which lead to my decision to peruse a degree in the medical field and become a registered nurse. I would say that they need to invest more on technology as this is something that is important to students and a need for the industry...
