Senior: I have been enrolled at DHS four years, and I am graduating in May in the top 20% of my class. Although, I have not always been excited to go to school, don’t like getting up so early, I have enjoyed being a DHS Gator.
I think DHS is very diverse and it offers all students the opportunity to grow and learn, if they are focused on getting an education. The teachers, most of them, are very caring, helpful, and willing to go the extra mile for the students.

Senior: My upbringing in this rural town has played an integral part in heightening my sense of and involvement in the community. Santa Fe is a very close knit town. Here, everyone seems to know everyone in some way or another, and I am no exception. My parents themselves are very well connected within the local volunteer, and aide organizations. This being so, spending large portions of my time helping to distribute food to the needy, and organizing, staffing festivals for the locals is almost second nature to me. Here in Southern Texas under the wide blue, cloud dotted sky there is a sense of community instilled into just about everyone raised here, especially myself. This communal aura is what gives us, the residents of Santa Fe, our southern charm.

Senior: Thay had plenty of activities to join and have recently upped the security/safety. I, for one, enjoyed being in the colorguard as part of the marching band. The people participating were very kind and welcoming. Now, at the hichschool, ID's are required to be inside the building to make things safer and easier.
