Senior: Silver Lake Regional High School is a welcoming place! It has brought me the best of friends, connections with teachers I will have forever and the ability to learn in the school or at home for us seniors in 2020:( Although we have all had a tough year, Silver Lake has made it as bearable as they can for us high school students. Parent: My children attended Rising Tide starting in grade 5, so we have been affiliated with the school for over 10 years. I have seen tremendous growth in all areas while my children were there. My youngest graduated from R.T. this June, and I will continue to be an advocate for them. The staff there, new and seasoned teachers to the administration, are clearly dedicated to helping each child reach their potential. The academics can be very intense - lots of homework compared to the mainstream, but the courses are geared to make them successful in college or whatever their next steps will be. I will honestly say that my oldest had some struggles with 8th grade math which made him frustrated with himself and the school, and ultimately led to him switching to public high school. Once there, it was clear how advanced and confident he was compared to students who had been at public all along. Alum: The diversity was probably one of my favorite aspects of SSCPS. I had gone there K-12 so that is all I had known. I think it is a big part of what shaped me to be who I am today. I made great connections with peers who are some of the best people I've met. I never thought it was weird to call a teacher by their first name until I made friends with people who went to different schools. I think that was what helped form the connections I was able to make with teachers, which was a huge plus. I participated in a lot of activities and extra curriculars and I loved everything about them. I honestly feel like I have nothing bad to say besides I wish there was more space. The environment there is like no other and is extremely understanding and friendly. Parent: We just began our 9th year at Inly, and cannot truly express in words how wonderful this school and community have been for our family! The teachers at all the levels are so nurturing and care for the WHOLE child. Our two very different learners have always been met where they are and because of the Montessori plus model, they spend their days in multiage classrooms where they can learn from peers across multiple grade levels simultaneously. The educational approach and learning is second to none and the weekly communication from teachers on curriculum allows parents to continue the conversation and work at home. The teachers truly work with the parents in a collaborative way and this type of support gives the child the best opportunity to reach their individual true potential. Kindness, care and concern for others and the world around you, fostering a love of learning and critical thinking skills are all part of the day to day! Senior: I love my school, I have been here since Kindergarten, and I am a senior now. I love the dedication to a Christ-centered education, and the teachers are wonderful. If I were to ever make a change to the school, it would simply be to have more opportunities available to your seniors, more scholarships, and guidance about graduation.
