Parent: I have a daughter in the Pre-K class and she absolutely loves it! Cornerstone Baptist Academy has a tremendous teaching staff this year. This is the best teaching staff they have ever had. They love the Lord, they love the students, there is now such a sweet spirit amongst the staff and student body. I highly recommend CBA to anyone with children in Pre-K through 12th grade. They have small class sizes which allows the teachers to spend quality time with each student, and allows them to know each student's name and it is a much closer-knit class that way.... Alum: Doe Creek was a fun experience for me. While the student body is comprised of mostly white people and enough colored people to count on one hand, the resulting mindsets left an imprint on the district. Senior: New Palestine High School is definitely well known for the academics. It is a 4 star school and has exceptional educators. My overall experience during these 4 years has been pretty good. I have definitely done well with grades and have been able to get involved with the band all 4 years. I have taken tennis 3 years as well. However, I would rate the school low on making students feel connected and included. Many other parents and students who previously attended NPHS feel the same way. Senior: I started GCHS halfway through my sophomore year. Right at the beginning it was amazing. All of the teachers caught me up to the where the class was very quickly and were flexible with me when I needed it. The students are warm and welcoming just like the staff. I have had a few minor problems with the counseling staff regarding scheduling. Parent: We moved our daughter her mid-school year because she was just not having growth in her public school. She is capable of so much but only works as hard as she is pushed to work. Here she has absolutely blossomed. She loves to go to school every day, she has made so many friends, she has learned how to do research projects and has grown in her self confidence so much already. The school has been nothing but above excellent with her IEP and with helping us make sure that her medical care is a priority and all staff are trained and prepared to meet her needs. I cannot recommend this school enough for anyone who feels like their kids just not meeting their potential in their current school. Senior: I've been going to James and Rosemary Leadership Academy for nearly as long as the school has been opened. Overall, it's my favorite school that I've ever been to. I've known the staff for a while and I feel like that they really know me as well. Past schools I've attended had nice enough teachers, but I never felt truly connected to them at all. Here at Phalen, I can sit and have a conversation with anyone from the staff about any topic, and feel totally comfortable. Sometimes the other students can be rowdy, as highschoolers always are, but I think it's made up by the fact that despite being rowdy, they're a group of genuinely good kids. I don't have a problem with any of my peers. The staff and students are a group of truly wonderful people, and I don't care what anyone else has to say about that, because I know it to be true....
