Senior: The student culture and energy is unlike anywhere else. There are no recognizable cliches, only students who do many diverse activities celebrating one another. The academics are excellent and the teaching is outstanding. I have learned from many teachers who I believe have changed my life. Monument Mountain is a very special place where students are encouraged to truly examine themselves as individuals, question their values and beliefs, and to challenge themselves to do better. Sports, academics, and performing arts each offer a place where students can explore their potential and feel like they belong, all while making lasting memories in a community that knows what's important.

Sophomore: Bard Academy has been an amazing place for me, providing me with the knowledge and facilities to grow in my learning, expand my interests, and meet new and interesting people who I know I will continue to have a bond with for the rest of my life. There are places where improvement can be made, specifically around communication between students and administration, but I see an active effort from the administration to make those changes. In my first few months, I was able to meet new friends, and I was surprised at how accepting and welcoming the community is. Teachers are engaged and passionate, and I enjoyed subjects that I have disliked in the past, because the teachers are engaged and actively encourage participation. In one of my favorite classes, bioethics, my teacher told us that we shouldn't be afraid to question the perspectives he stated in discussions. Bard Academy has resources available to students, including personal tutoring, teacher office hours, and a writing center.
