Parent: Our daughter just finished her preschool year at Gaston Day School. To say the least, we couldn't be happier. This was her first year at Gaston Day and as much great feedback we had learned about this school, we were hesitant moving her from a school that she has known since she was 18months old. She came home from her first day at Gaston Day and our fears were immediately gone. She was so happy and excited to go back the next day. She said she had so much fun! This is a testament to the administration and teachers at Gaston Day. They create an atmosphere that feels open, safe, and loving. A perfect environment for learning. They do a great job keeping us updated on our child's progress through weekly report cards. The crafts that the kids participate in are fun, but as an adult, we see the skills that they are teaching at the same time. Sophomore: I love being a part of the Rams family. HST has a wide range of sports, clubs, and social outings. They give every opportunity for students to get involved on and off campus. The staff is wonderful, every teacher I’ve had goes to great lengths to make sure the whole class can understand and apply the concepts that they teach. They usually offer after/before school tutoring and plenty of extra credit opportunities. Everything about my experience at Highland Tech has been wonderful. Currently, I’m a part of 7 extracurriculars and loving every single one. The classes are definitely more challenging, and typically have a heavier work load, so if you have difficulty with time management, HST may not be for you. It would also be beneficial to you to get involved. I didn’t realize what a difference it would make in my freshman year. Senior: Lake Pointe Academy is an amazing school! The people on staff care about the students, academically - and as individual people. The campus is quaint and offers a safe environment and space for learning, gathering, and other extracurricular activities. Lake Pointe offers a solid Christian education to the student body with many class offerings to choose from. Just as importantly, there is a strong, encouraging community for all the families to support and nurture each other, share in community service opportunities, and to impact other areas during mission trips. Senior: I have spent ten years at MICS and I have enjoyed my time here. This school has some excellent teachers who have given 110% while teaching and working with students. MICS has a very inclusive and welcoming environment and provides a solid education for students of all grades. As a high school senior, I greatly appreciate the steps the teachers and counselors have taken to ensure everyone is able to graduate and attend college. Senior: From a young age I was always in public schools, up until the 10th grade I was enrolled into Piedmont. It’s the best school I’ve been to so far! There are no fights, and everyone is friendly. I’ve been doing great in my classes ever since. If I do have a problem I tell a teacher I don’t keep it to myself anymore because I can trust the faculty and staff at this school. One thing I always look forward to is my second period teacher she’s basically like my school mom. She’s always there for me and she listens to me and helps me when I have a problem. I used to hate school but now I look forward to going every day. The teachers at Piedmont make sure we meet our goals and ask us if there’s anyway they can help if they can’t. Sophomore: I love PCA. The experience, environment, and feel of the school are much better than what I experienced at other public schools in my area. Senior: I had an amazing four years here. The teachers and staff really care for the kids that go there. Teachers are always making sure that we are doing okay mentally and physically. I always looked forward to the pep rally's and football games. The staff do a great job of keeping us safe at school. Senior: Ashbrook High wasn't all that bad, in fact during my freshman year it was one the best! Ever since I turned into a Senior, nothing stays the same so the school has gotten progressively less interactive, and more enforced work flow. Parent: We ended up at Pleasant Ridge for the AIG program and fell in love with the staff and extras they offer. I never knew elementary school marching bands existed until my kids started here. They are very proactive when it comes to any complaints or concerns which is not easy to do when you have such a large school (they have over 900 students!) and yet they maintain such a fantastic day to day procedural process....
