Alum: I thoroughly enjoyed the clubs and activities I was involved in at OTHS. They offered a very diverse variety of opportunities for students and most sponsors were dedicated and involved.
Regarding academics, I was disappointed at the lack of STEM and coding opportunities, but I feel that most of my coursework prepared me fairly well for college. There were several excellent, involved teachers who would go out of their way to help students, but unfortunately, also others who were clearly just phoning it in.
Overall I felt that many teachers had a fixed mindset regarding education and were not willing/able to think outside the box to relate to their students. As a result, graduation seemed impersonal and systematic rather than a final celebration of our accomplishments. I'll miss some things about OHS, but I'm happy to be off to bigger and better things!

Alum: I really enjoyed the sense of community. The school is smaller because it is in a small town so you really get to know everyone around you. Another benefit of it being a small school is that the teachers were able to give you more one-to-one help.

Niche User: I have got no version of a great high school but after reading about how awesome this school is and its even on aleks by the way Good work David iv have been convinced that a good school should have a good review and people should stop complaining about the school after all your the one of you put your kid in the school so if you cant handle the fact the its just better than you thought than you can put your kid in a different school if its that "bad" even though you may be offended i think its better school than most are so good day.
P.S. im a 11 almost 12 year old :)

Senior: Being from such a small community makes you feel at home all of the time. Everybody takes care of everybody, making the community stronger as a whole. I love being a Husker, because of these things but also because I know my teachers care about where I’m going in life. They want to see their students succeed, in some of their spare time they work on helping students progress in their futures. To be a Husker means to be a family.
