Junior: I've gone to Kennewick High School since my freshman year, and I wouldn't want to go to any other high school. I've received support from teachers and administration whenever I have reached out, and I have even been checked up on when a teacher could tell I was going through a tough time. The negative about this school is that my fellow students haven't always been so supportive or kind. Junior: My overall experience at Chiawana has been amazing! The teachers are spectacular , they are always there to help you. One of my favorite teachers with no doubt be my 9th grade math teacher. Math has always been my weakest subject, I've always been shy to ask questions. But my 9th grade teacher was always there to help me even when I wouldn't raise my hand she somehow just knew. She never gave up on me, I went from failing all her assignments to all A's and b's. I was so proud of myself never knew I could go from F's to B's and A's in math. The students at Chiawana always have a great spirit especially on spirit week and sports! Football games are always my favorite, the energy is dynamic. Parent: Best college preparation and social awareness my student has ever had. She was an excellent student before arriving at Liberty and has only continued to excel. Courses are well planned and well executed. Upper division work is as challenging as you are capable (or want to be challenged). Faculty engagement is very high, and they actively the student. For such a small school, the sports program is well developed and diverse enough. Again, this is a small school, so EVERY sport is not represented. But service clubs, student leadership, and activities are numerous and well represented. The campus is not as diverse as a public school in Pasco, but then again, neither is Southridge High School, so one has to consider the reality of geography. The student engagement at the high school, elementary and middle school levels are high. The best part, a staff GENUINELY committed to seeing their students grow spiritually and a civically. Freshman: Good school, great sense of community, great academics. All assignments are online (with some exceptions) and teachers are the best! Lack of AP courses, but many college in the high school courses are available in the upper grades. Lots of internship opportunities! No sports at the school, if you want to do that you’ll have to play through your home high school, which makes it hard to get to practices on time. Parent: Our families personal experience with MCP has been exceptional. I am a mother of 4 kids. My oldest graduated back in 2004 and then my next 2019 both sons went to schools I wont name on here but had the WORST admin and dealt with issues so terribly. Now my two daughters, one graduated from MCP last year and had switched over from a school in which I had lost ALL faith in and was NOT happy about. Once at MCP my daughter excelled and learned to trust in Admin again. I have other daughter who attends still and is now in the third grade. I have found out of all schools and admin MCP has changed how I look and feel about schools! Admin is so friendly, helpful and excellent communicators! Teachers are very helpful and truly love their jobs! My third grader asked ALL summer when she can go back. I have so much respect for MCP and hope my last kid can graduate in many years from MCP like her sister!... Read 9 reviews

Senior: Ochoa is a great place to go to. You really get to learn a lot about yourself and everything is so accessible. There is always teachers and students constantly asking and giving help. I honestly feel like i got to prepair for college a lot more at ochoa than at the high school because things are slower than high school and more attention is given to you. Sometimes other schools like to say that ochoa is where gangsters originate or that people from there are bad people but that is not the case. I hate violence, gangs, and stealing and i did not see more than the average that we see in other schools, its only a few kids but the staff does a great job at helping those student to get on the right path. I owe a lot of great memories to ochoa and if i could chose to go there again i would go one million times. Alum: I grew up at Bethlehem Lutheran, and it remains my favorite of the five schools I have attended. BLS provides the kind of close-knit community and friendships that kids will carry with them long into the future. The small class sizes mean that students always receive attention from teachers, and that every student in each grade knows all the others very well. My grade consisted of 9 students who had, for the most part, grown up together. We were like a family. If you are concerned that a small school might not provide enough opportunities, do not be dissuaded. BLS is growing and is working hard to provide its students with the best education possible. I highly recommend it. However, if there is one thing I could change, it would probably be BLS's special education resources, which are not developed well at all.... Read 1 review
