Senior: Very diverse, beautiful school in the heart of downtown Chicago. The academics are great and one can make the most of their high school experience through a plethora of student involvement activities. Such activities include but aren't limited to: a variety of sports (from bowling to soccer), NHS, National English Honors Society, and many, many clubs. The teachers are all fine-tuned to help you with your high school experience. The only issues I have with the school is the lack of care regarding the administration towards student=oriented issues. The food isn't great but it's standard CPS food. Also, the culture isn't all that great. It's a very "clicky" school and you're either in a click or not. Parent: I have 2 children at Morgan Park Academy in the Early Childhood program and we love it! Alum: I really loved how McAuley created a community whose outreach had no bounds. Alum and current students are easily identifiable not just by the uniforms, but rather by the confidence and skills developed at this school. I credit McAuley to my faith in myself and my overall thirst for knowledge and equality. McAuley teaches you that you will never be alone no matter when or where you are as someone will always be there to find and guide you when you’re lost. Besides all of the community based accords, this school has some of the most dedicated and connected teachers who promote learning and fairness in and out of classrooms. Obviously as a liberal arts school they do very well in theater, musical, and art departments with several students and alum receiving awards and acclaim, but many sports programs are up to par as well. Junior: Overall, St. Laurence has been the best choice I have ever made. The teachers and faculty are so welcoming and friendly. Alum: Overall I really liked my time at Evergreen Park Community High School. I met some wonderful staff members who are passionate about teaching and were amazing support systems for their students. One thing I’d say should definitely change at EP High School is the bathroom policies. Various bathrooms throughout the school would get locked occasionally during the school day and immediately before school ended as well. Senior: Noble Street College Prep is a school where you probably don't expect much from the environment or the teachers. If you have any issues there isn't a problem communicating with teachers and staff since they make you feel comfortable talking to them.
